It is also because the voice acting and character dialog, Locke barely had any kind of good intent coming off him when he spoke. He only sounded like a cocky soldier.

I really enjoyed this. Spartans are a bit chatty, but thats not exactly a bad thing. I also like that they didn't make the Sangheili Spec-Ops seem weak or insignificant. The first Elites were minor and a distraction but the Spec-Ops ones were not to be trifled with. As a massive Elite/Sangheili fan I must say it. Good work Spartan.
EuclidGamer I mean these are Spartan III's which is pretty much angsty kids who never really got that chip off their shoulder if anything all that anger got focused on the Covenant. Canonically I think the Spartan III's were kids who were actually "conscripted" by the UNSC at childhood rather than kidnapped.

@@purpleemerald5299 Which is why it's so heart breaking the new show doesn't do shit like this. Whole first season should have been nothing but the brutality showing the war of annihilation. We didn't honestly see enough of it in the games. Always thought they should have been another 3-4 hours long each.
@reachfanatic1234 The Covenant destroyed hundreds of planets and killed tens of billions. They're awesome antagonists, but they're evil mass murderers.
They need to make this into a actual film instead of animatic. This was golden story telling. Now we need the movement to match the greatness of the story.
They're pompous hypocrites, that's why. Plus, despite what they say, they're angry and fearful of Spartans. It goes against all their notions about human weakness. People love the Elites because they look cool, but they're pretty awful in the lore.
Never understood how Roland was so self-aware, but it adds a bit of uniqueness to his character. Would love to see another short or better yet a comic about these two, give us some more insight on who they are and on the Headhunters - but I can only hope

It always bothered me that in the game it takes two hits with an energy sword, but in the books and stuff it's always a one hit kill. Also, the logic of it piercing instantly bothered me as well.
Fosasolah Please. That's nothing compared to what the insurectionists were using like bombs made of rubber that function as car tires until you want them to blow up. Explosives can come a long way in 500 years or so.
No offense to the fanbase and makers of this, but with them using what sounds like one voiceactor for the spartan II units is the equivilant of "Hey, Barry. These guys kinda deserved it, didn't they?" "Yes they did other barry, yes they did."
The MIA thing everyone says, is because Spartans are "superior" to elites, it gives the rest of the Human race hope, so the "Spartans never die" metaphor is true to those who believe it to be because "Legends never die" as well.

Irish John. Because normally the photo-reactive plates would camaflage the big bright gold visor. He had hot turned off on purpose most of the time in this clip. He wanted them to see him. He was running distraction for his team mate while he set the charges
Damn... didn’t include the “Six of you, one of me, fair trade.” dialogue line just before the explosion... would’ve made that last line so much better then just saying, “Clear.” -_-
