Brasilia Jauregui5H I use a lot of different brands of colors FOR FABRIC. They are acrylics designed for fabric, waterproof, you can find the name in my other videos. And soon or later I will do a tutorial:)))

Brilliant!. One question.. in the beginning you applied a white base layer. What did you use for that? Just the white paint, gesso, or something else?

The white layer is fabric paint, it helps to make the blue of the denim suitable for the skin tones:)

Eric Hooper I use 3D colors for fabric by Arteza only for details, for paint the jacket I use other kinds of colors for fabric:)))

jc ebengo I use only fabric paint, Arteza, no medium. Fabric paint is waterproof and you can wash it each time you want:)

Yes, the white dries for 10/12 hours before the next session of painting:)

Constance Levering the base is just a layer of white fabric paint, it helps to cover the blue of the denim :)

elif erduran Hi! Thank youuuuu for your support!!! Ok, the 3 D colors for fabric are amazing for details, like the edges of the flowers, you can use them directly on fabric but for painting the face and the other parts I used different kinds of colors for fabric, they are acrylic paints and they need to be blended with water. About the acrylic finisher, I usually use a colorless finisher for fabric, you can find it in a fine art store

Elesia4Christ I don’t use a finisher but I think it can be helpful, by the way colors for fabric are waterproof and don’t go away so easily:)

@@nikedemaart what I meant was how do u keep the paint from bleeding into other areas besides ur drawing? When you paint on fabric the paint bleeds and spreads very quickly. Do u not use water? Or do u use a fabric medium?

@@lmarteen2778 fabric paint is made for this kind of work, it’s rather thick and doesn’t spread out of the drawing, I blend the color with some drops of water and I let dry the painting layer by layer, when the painting is complete, I wait 24 hours and after I iron the back inside for 5/10 minutes, in this way the colors became permanent:)

With this Arteza fabric paints do you not need a fabric medium?

Alexander Sainz if you use Arteza COLORS FOR FABRIC or 3D COLORS FOR FABRIC, you don’t need a medium. If you use normal acrylics, they need a medium for fabric. I know there’s a lot of people that use only acrylics, but they paint decorations or similar, if you want to paint a portrait or a complex drawing, the best choice is to use colors made expressly for this kind of painting:)
