SHE CALLED NAMJOON "JOON" WHY DOES THIS MAKE ME SO HAPPY edit: holy shit this comment got so many likes this is the most famous i'll ever be thank you guys!
14:33 Thank you, Halsey, for explaining, because yes, we are *very grateful to Elvis Duran* for having BTS on and hope he doesn't get any negative feedback on his part from ARMYs.
Honestly, the thing everyone was upset w/ were the other fans like Halsey said. 💯 Why did they have to downplay Jin & RM's skills? Why did they not let BTS talk and answer their questions w/o screaming through the ENTIRE thing? They're the ones that had everybody pissed, not Elvis - even if that question about who the "worst dancer" is was unnecessary. 💯
Thanks so much for explaining this and yes you can talk for us because you know us..you are us sweet angel love Halsey ❤️ Elvis we love and appreciate you both
Cheerful Sword I’d like to point out, though, that Elvis’ question wasn’t who the worst dancer is but who is most likely to mess up a dance routine on stage. For all we know, the answer is Jimin or something. You can be a great dancer and mess up. It happens and there’s no judgement (from me) for that.
@@zub2425 Oh yeah, that's right. 💯And same, nothing wrong w/ messing up the choreography every now & then. It just sucks for them to have been called out like that from people who claim to support them. 😕 Jin looked highkey upset/embarrassed & RM def signaled for them to stop. They've improved so much and absolutely *can dance* , only to be collectively called out like that. 😓 Not to sound like a manager ARMY, but gosh.
What gets me (and also made me mad about the name call out) is that Jin very rarely messes up when dancing. You can tell he practices really hard to be honest. This is an old 2013/14 joke that needs to die.
Almost ALL artists since around 2008 wouldn't have made it without the internet! Even justin bieber, lady gaga, katy perry, ke$ha, and especially people like halsey and ariana grande and billie eilish etc. got big largely because of the internet. Very interesting how things work now and it's going to get more and more inclined towards social media being the new media. Spotify and other streaming platforms have replaced radio, youtube has replaced MTV, and artists build fanbases and make music on the internet and THEN get signed nowadays.. whereas in the past an artist would make a full album after or during the process of getting signed, the label would promote them across all of "old media", and THEN they had the chance to build a fanbase or "make it big" based on how everyone reacted to their music. Music marketing has completely changed and even touring has changed it's purpose. In the past an artist would go on tour to promote the sale of the album, because album sales were where the money was, but now an artist will make an album and use the tour as the way to make the money since albums do not sell numbers like they used to! Only a handful of artists still sell "well" such as Taylor Swift and Adele.. even the biggest artists like beyonce and ariana grande do not sell well AT ALL in pure sales. Artists like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey have sold more in one album than ariana has in all of hers combined, it's just the way things work now.
Thank you Elvis Duran for always being so respectful and supportive to our boys. I won't ever forget the kind words you told them on April 12 -- about how they should continue to speak/sing in Korean and the success you predicted for them. ARMY was really touched by your words. We do see and appreciate these things. Thank you for hosting them!
Lina Vine he's forever in my heart since then. Thank you Elvis, trully. Halsey is ma girl. Thank you for being wonderful as always. You make me proud ✊💜
Halsey is so sweet that she explained BEAUTIFYLLY with respect to Elvis about the issue with ARMY or else we would be looking like crazy fans who attacks people. Honestly, deep respect for this girl
Elvis has SO much respect for ARMY and last night ARMY did not do the right thing. We let uncle Elvis down, disrespected mathyung and the rest of the boys. We’re supposed love and protect them not embarrass them. This makes me really sad and disappointed. Thank you Halsey for clarifying to Elvis 💜😘
@@sandeecarr dont say 'we' if its only the people in the interview audience. every fandom has its bad apples and they witnessed some of them at the interview and elvis knows that. hes been interviewing big names with huge and dedicated fandoms for a long time.
Me too. Becuz they launched a campaign about Loving Yourself... I literally thought that Joon would call her and say " DON'T U DARE SAY THAT AGAIN!" 🤣🤣🤣JK
I’m so thankful for Halsey clearing out the air about the BTS interview. My heart went out to Jin & RM, they’ve worked so hard to be where they are now. Hearing Jin say, “I’m not wrong” broke my heart knowing how hard he works at mastering his craft. BTS has overcome so many adversaries and having so-called fans belittle them to their face is so disrespectful. Thank you Elvis Duran & Halsey we appreciate you. #NAMJINBESTDANCERS
Raihan Bakhshi I bawled my eyes out Jin is my bias. He was scouted off the street with no dancing and singing experience. He had to prove himself multiple times and he worked his butt off. What inspires me the most was he didn’t stop at dancing & singing he learned to play the piano and guitar just for his fans. He puts in 1000% for his ARMY.
@@pnwytryh those fans are not true army it breaks my heart everytime when I heard it but it's okay jin have a good fans like you and others don't worry about it anymore it's okay we know how hard they practice just because of us because of his fans and we will always appreciate and support them 💜💜💜
Rainbow Alert yep...true. since Jin initially wanted to be actor...he worked so hard to achieve the success he has..He’s such a prince too...and to be so disrespected on their last American interview ..ugh..😢
I'm really thankful for Halsey's words about the interview with the boys. Seriously Elvis, no one is mad at you, we were just upset over the people, who had the opportunity to be there, awful behavior.
I respect Elvis. He really does research the artists and cares about their music. Thank you so much for really wanting to have artists talk about their music. It makes us fans and the artists happy for that opportunity. .
Halsey, thank you for being the voice of many unheard women and whoever has experienced what you sing about in Nightmare. Thank you also for your friendship with BTS and letting Elvis know that BTS ARMY loves him. Personally speaking, I grew up listening to Elvis and Danielle, so I cannot be happier when I can hear this part of family together with other of my favorite people in the same room. :)
Halsey saying 'I'm awesome' makes me feel so good 💜. N when she said it cld hav been the other way, she'd hate herself. I'm like - bts ain't gonna let u hate urself!
This is one of my fave interviews. Queen, I'm here for ur album! Elivis, I love ur interviews, ur lines like "That's why u need to study Artists more" is the reason I have so much respect for u!
Thank you Halsey for speaking on our behalf! No one is upset with the question, we're upset with the "ARMYs" that answered it in a way that was discouraging to BTS when those members deserved encouragement for how far they've come!! Now for some more love on Halsey becuase she deserves it! You're such a great artist and celebrity! I love how kind you are and how charismatic. I only got to know you because of BTS and I'm glad I did. I'll continue to support!!
Great idea.. they've never had a special guest and Halsey would be perfect!! Also I want to see more personal interaction with them..so much fun to watch them just be human 💜
Except for that two armies I saw posting a video calling him a dumbass and stupid for asking that question. There's nothing wrong with the question it's the rude answer. But unfortunately some armies take everything seriously and are super sensitive at times and can be set off by anything they interpret as a negative comment against BTS and goes off on a rant on You tube or Instagram. They just need to chill and relax because the boys certainly don't need this tension among their fans.
Thank you Halsey for explaining exactly the side of the Army! The issue is not about the question or Elvis or the interview. The audience were so disrespectful and very disappointing. All we could hear were the screamings. It was an interview and not a concert, they should have listened and calm down more. They were so lucky to be there up close with the boys but blew the chance to show their love and respect. They shouldn't have even drop any name after a second the question was thrown. And the pinpointing that they did right in front of them....it was so frustrating! Maybe they are fans but definitely not Armys! RM and Jin had hard time catching up with the choreography compared to the others but it was all in the past! They improved enormously! You can never see, not even 1, that they messed up in their past performances. They are always perfect due to their hardwork.
I think you are right......RM, JIN and all the members always work so hard to give us their best but in the interview the audience behaviour was so disrespectful to our precious member....
And something that broke my heart even more was the question before that something like why did you become artists or something and Namjoon answered "All theese hundreds about 200 people thats 200 reasons" and then in the next question they start calling him out.. They should have just said their all good or something like that but no... And when they started calling out namjin The maknae line started doing jestures like Xs and like throught slit jesture kinda and im pretty sure their signalling for them to stop and in the end Jungkook even said we are perfect like when the start doing signals they should know its time to stop but no Gotta keep calling them namess And Its an interview not a fricking consert like show some respect they scratch their eye AAAAAAAAA AJGSNDBSHEB Like please.... and he was asking questions to the members not the fans.. Im just gonna stop here But im really sad that they acted that way... Well others have a good day😭😭😊💜💜😊💜👋🏻👋🏻
Love to Elvis duran. Halsey is right when she spoke on our behalf and I'm so glad she did. It's NOT you. You were great. When people try to paint ARMY as less than perfect BTS are always the first to shield and highlight what makes us beautiful, and in a moment when we should have done the same for them, we dropped the ball. You and your team did nothing wrong. We as ARMY must do better.
@basher basher There is NO excuse. The behavior exhibited in that hall was disrespectful and childish. I don't care what questions were asked. You cannot ask for adult questions if ARMY are going to exhibit childish behavior. If we are going to play into the stereotype that we are rabid twelve year olds, then we should expect to be treated the stereotypical fashion. People think we want to know about superficial stuff like other young and unruly fandoms obsessed with everything but the music. If we want better, then we need to BE better. NO EXCUSES!
@basher basher I agree with you and the original comment too... I'm sure the media always doesn't understand bts or try to get them in a certain stupid image,,,, however, i think sometimes it's hard to ask deeper questions to bts unless u want only RM to speak,,, the benefit of light and fun questions is to get the rest involved without them depending on English very much... Aaaaand, we don't know how the management behind bts chooses which questions and leave which to be asked in the interview... And I felt sad for bts yesterday, i couldn't watch the whole interview because of the crowd...
Can I also add, that there were army in the audience (the left side in particular) who shared videos of them shouting "no one" and such during that question. They also mentioned how they were trying to calm the others down, I remember hearing people "shh-ing" during the livestream too. Its unfortunate that the Mic was situated near the loud rowdy fans but I'm hoping the boys noticed the effort of the calmer ones! Hearing this made me feel a little better about the situation but yeah it really disappointed me
FunSoSoToTo i agree with everything you said. i think there’s obviously gonna be a difference in what questions get asked to western artists vs kpop artists bc of their companies/management etc so i don’t think ppl are gonna start asking more “mature” questions to kpop artists any time soon lol
I really love her a lot and got to know her better after her collab with bts.she's amazing, down to earth, and the way she defended bts just shows how much she loves them. I love their friendship💜
Halsey sounds like a great cook, hopefully she’ll be able to invite BTS for her homemade food one day😄 P.S Thank you elvis, You are a great interviewer.
Loved the interview! So much props to her for explaining the audience situation during BTS’ sit in for iheart radio. Some people should seriously take notes.....
Can someone please explain what happened? All I see in social media is that Halsey did a great job clarifying but I can't find what triggered that clarification, and why Elvis Duran looked slightly hurt & upset in this interview at that point. Thanks in advance!!
@@wazzsubs9506 well army were upset at the fans in the audience who mentioned names when there was a question on who messes up the choreo the most. Most army online directed their annoyance and frustrations to the fans who were there and did that, however I'm guessing a few took issue with the fact that the question was asked, so to Elvis. He saw and replied to a comment on Twitter. Halsey, just wanted to let Elvis know what the general sentiment was in the fandom. Which was the frustration with the fans at the event that named names and not at Elvis himself. I hope this helps and makes sense! I'd also like to add that not all army at the event in the audience were like that. Since the event some army who were there shared vidoes of how they reacted during the question and you can hear them clearly shout "no one" and such. They really tried to calm the other rowdy fans in the audience, it's just a shame that the mic was near those rowdy fans and not the other calmer ones!
15:37 Yes Halsey, you definetly were the BEST part about that interview. This video is a classic case of "came here for BTS - stayed for halsey" Thank you halsey ❤
I've been a halsey stan since 2016 and I remember she used to get so much hate from other fandoms so it's nice to see armys being so nice to her in the comments
14:33 Thank you so much Halsey for explaining what was happening. I'd say that Elvis Duran is one of the best interviewers ever, her actually does his research about the artists unlike most interviewers. Thank you Elvis for supporting our boys. We were annoyed about a few "fans" who insulted some members of bts when they should have just been quiet. We're not annoyed with you 💜
Woah Halsey spoke on our behalf and we're grateful! She cleared out everything and now it makes me relieved to think that our boys know we all support them and appreciate them and we're not all like the ones present there!
Yes Halsey you are awesome!! We love you. Its legit that they were excited to see you. You guys are awesome together. BTSxHalsey. And also not forgetting to mention : Halsey texted RM, calling him 'Joon' .. awww.
Halsey thank you so much for explaining our side. It's not about Elvis or Iheart Radio. It's the crazy, rude, loud fans who were at the studio that upset us. We love Elvis and love the interview and love Iheart Radio and their support of our boys and Boy With Luv. Halsey thank you again and love you and love your support of young women💜💜💜💜💜
Thanks to Halsey for clearing things out with that interview. Every1 is entitled to their own opinion & reaction bt it doesn't mean that ARMYs don't appreciate shows, may it be on TV or Radio, for featuring BTS. The mere fact that they invited the boys bcz they're interested in them already means a lot. And we are always grateful for that.
Like I say : we army Stan a Funky and beautiful Queen💜 I loved you even before bts and have two of my favs together in on song couldn’t be more perfect Love you Halsey💜
Thank you halsey, Elvis you're great! Those hastag is not bcs of you.. it's bcs of some immature fans but that's okay too cause sometime when fans met their idol it's really hard to control themself from excitement. the boys might be upset cause the fans but they would understand by time. Don't worry 😊
The way she can just casually text namjoon. I love the friendship she has with them 👏🏼 she should get together with jin on eat jin and hold a cooking collaboration 😭 imagine.
Halsey did so well at explaining the situation with the BTS dancing question. She understood our anger, and discomfort with certain “ARMYs” actions towards that question.
