Fantastic Jim. That's such a refreshing video. I love camping but only have my 2wd station wagon so it's a little more difficult to find nice places like most of the ones you go to. I'm looking forward to catching up with you again and relive all the old stuff we did. I'll hopefully be around at your next club meeting. *PS, I bought one of those big foot arborist poles on your recommendation. Cheers mate and all the very best for the New Year. Theo (VK3AP)
Hi Theo good to hear from you keep a eye on the club web page as soon as the school holidays are over I be of again and we have some guys in the club that come with us so we have been camping in placers that a car can get into, have a look at Talbotville Camping Area, Grant Historic Area video's, they are about 30km north of Dargo you can get into those camps easy with a car from the Dargo High Plains road.
Jim I’m really envious of you guys out there enjoying your camping . Up here in VK2 we’re still locked down . I go to a camp site up in the mountains near Bathurst where there’s no noise whatsoever because there’s no facilities no power and best of all no people . I’m really looking forward to getting back out there which if things go to plan should be a month or so away . Cheers and 73 Chuck VK2SS
Hi yep we are still lockdown in Vic and as soon as we can we are of camping, the biggest thing in camping with no noise is it makes playing with radio fun and I like mucking around with home made ant's and camping gives you all the space you need to put them up, if you keep a eye on vk3kid.org/ you will see when and where we are of camping, the next radio camp will be at Mount Alexander Regional Park just south of Bendigo Victoria at Leanganook Campground and as a club camp we welcome other hams to the camp
