I commend the team of OSCAR for sharing such a fantastic decisive video covering all about the HAM radio. Great job in being thoughtful enough by adding the "time stamps." Even though all parts in the video are excellent, I would like to see more options for learning HAM radio.

Broadcasting for profit stations or web based platforms should monitor only a specific disclosed frequency in each band to recieve local news and weather, other quick info, along with a callsign. Can just be for passive use, and it can be used to confirm or despute paid reports because it is offered for free at 0 profit, but maybe get coupons, points or sponsoring to help upgrade and expand radio gear, per their provided service. That ht mag loop is steampunk copper gold, even if it is faux 1/4 wave resonant. 🤐

What's the difference between general and restricted examinations? What are the powers and allowances for the same?

Syllabus is almost same for both grade. Specially for R&R. But in General Grade you'll have to play Morse and also decode Morse with a 8 WPM speed. Yes there is a limit in power for Restricted.

Hello, my ek traveller hu my mountains ghumte rehta hu vaha par mere sath jo piche ate hai frnds kabi kho jate hai aur mobile signal Nehi hota isliye my Ham radio Ub-5R use karna chata hu kya iske liye license lena zaroori hota hai , agar nahi lunga tho kya hoga?? Pleas explain me

Thank you for your interest in Amateur Radio But you have to understand that this kind of use is not the purpose of HAM Radio. Amateur use by definition is for technical and scientific purposes. Separate VHF/UHF walkie license may be used for such purpose.

while applying i struck upon nationality certificate can i upload aadhar card or what??

You can download pre-filled Nationality Certificate from Saralsanchar Portal. After that you have to attested by gazetted officer and have to upload. Adhar card can be upload as proof of Address.

@@oscarindia Well I can see that in the instruction but did everyone who applied in got attested from the officers, sounds tedious. Wouldn't a aadhar card suffice I have seen people in quora says it does...

@@spitips6464 What we inform that is the official rules. Else many thing is on internet you can try. But Aadhar instead of Nationality Certificate will not help you in that case.

i don't know how to learn morse. its so hard to distinguish and remember the tones.

Yes its little bit tough but not so. We are working on morse training. try to remember 5 alphabet everyday , within a week you can remember all alphabet.

@@iceberg789 Yes for upgrading your license from restricted grade to general grade you need to pay the exam fee write the Part A and Part B and Morse code at 8 wpm .after you get pass status you will need to apply for a general grade vu2 license for that you have to pay the amount
