Thank you! I appreciate that sentiment. Always fun to read the comments. I'll be making more stuff soon(tm), life has found a way to be very busy lately and I've got some ideas to play around with.
Thank you so much. I have a couple of very similar machines but slightly more modern in design. The larger of the two version has a Japanese brand name on the box and it's in virtually unused condition. The other smaller machine is jammed and I can't figure out how to release it. Never let your nephews think it's a toy.
I could probably get the answer faster with a pen and a paper but mechanical computation is so fascinating that i just want to open this baby and see how it works
I really enjoy your channel, you actually inspired me to buy a walther wsr 160 on Ebay and I love it. Do you have any suggestion on where to find this beautiful machine? I've searched on the web but I can't find a seller. Thank you
Hi. So glad to hear you've found a liking for these neat machines! The Hamann machines come out of Germany, so I would recommend looking for it on ebay's German site, there's usually a variety of things there. The Hamann Manus R isn't the most common machine, so it may take some waiting, but it's well worth it for a truly unique machine.
Yeah. An unfortunate trait of the camera's buit-in microphone is that the amplifier is of rather poor quality, so I get crazy amounts of noise. This video was worse than the others in that regard, so I had to crank noise reduction way up in post. This unfortunately attracted the attention of Dark Lord Au'dacthity.
