James, go back to September 2023, Netanyahu's address to the UN General Assembly where he presents his plan for The New Middle East. You are beginning to agree that this isn't about the hostages, this isn't about eradicating Hamas (although they are key to the plan - remember Netanyahu supported Hamas?), Hezbollah, the Houthis, it's not even about his political survival. No, the reason why Israel is unchallenged by 'Team America' is because the goal is the New Middle East, a world trade hub and economic powerhouse on the border of Europe, Asia and Africa. So, when you ask how does it end? If Likud, Netanyahu, the religious extremists - who believe they have a divine right to the lands promised to the Children of Abram (Genesis 15) - aren't stopped, this will go on to erase all opposition to the 'New Middle East' aka Greater Israel.

Israel has been conflating Palestine and Hamas as an excuse for their actions. The upshot of this is that people have heard them and now feel sorry for Hamas due to the way that Israel is attacking them. If Israel wants people to not feel sorry for Hamas you cannot conflate them with the public that you are trying to destroy

The younger generation has realised capitalism isn’t going to deliver for them, so they’re giving back what their employers give them… THE ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM. They young guy who said about his friends earning more than him basically gave answer to your question. Young generation don't feel that they have to impress to get a job because there will be always something else they can do and may even be better than retailer or office job. They are undecided, ambivalent when they go got an interview or first few days in the new workplace. If their demands are not meet they will just try something else. Other thing they know they are at the start of the carrier path. They see millennials which still can't get mortgage or have 40 years of paying it in front of them and thinking is is really worth it to spend best years of their life stuck in office and getting no reward whatsoever, getting older without any work balance. They experienced lockdown and started to appreciate time they have for themselves. Work smart no hard is for them do in 2 hour what others in office doing in 8.

Stop pretending that both parties have autonomy or agency to negotiate. One side is being occ… the other is the occ… with the unconditional and absolute backing of the west. There is no incentive for Is… to negotiate when they can take what they want.

The last segment is very explainable, the welfare cliff. You are required to work a certain effort in most jobs to make more than unemployment pay and, as you say with reduced incentive, there's no reason to break their back at a shop. If they have no parachute to catch them or friends/parents to pay em then many will work...or just give up through lack of aspiration and doomspiralling. I've seen and lost myself people to the doom of the world and the pressure of everything external to job adding to it, for some too much.
