Burr in the background of Say No To This when he lets Hamilton tell it. Leslie is basically watching his boss get laid (in reality, Lin and Leslie are both married, Anthony was dating Jasmine at the time and is now engaged)
my favourite background detail is when in 'Who lives, who dies'. Eliza sings 'I spoke out against slavery' and Washington hangs his head in shame behind her because he had slaves.
How about when I’m helpless Anthony and jasmine are talking in the background witch worked out so well because they were dating. Don’t quote me on this just noticed it once then later saw it in a til tok
When any of the ensemble cast raise their arms straight in the air, as The Bullet does at 3:44, they are foreshadowing Hamilton throwing away his shot duelling with Aaron Burr. Of course, Hamilton spends the entire musical singing that he will do the complete opposite. Another example of Blankenbuehler's inspired choreography and LLM's genius wordplay.
Like half of the things mentioned in this video are not because Lin-Manuel Miranda is a Genius but because the Choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler is one as well...

I love how right after it finishes talking about how the bullet went right over Hamilton’s head it goes right into to the, “Oh shit!” That made me laugh so hard!🤣🤣🤣
Personally am one who didn't miss all except one of these... and noticed a LOT more things thank mentioned - because in the *cough* unofficial *cough* recordings show more of the stage so you can see the choreography much more clearly and in its flow rather than the snapshots the Disney version shows from time to time or by accident happening behind characters the shot is focused on. Anyone reading, please don't misunderstand: I enjoy the Disney version and am glad it was made available to people who otherwise would've never seen Hamilton. The way it is shot just leaves out a lot of important details because the are just background in a movie structure vs. part of the entire scene in play form.
In my opinion, it gives a lot of close ups and detail that I missed when I watched it live. Also the Disney film was directed by Alex Lacamoire, who directed the original musical and was involved in the project from inception. So he knows the show pretty well, having lived and breathed it for over 10 years. Lin Manuel has described it as getting the best seat in the house, as there are some shots from above and looking out from the stage.
I appreciate the double entedre in "Alexander Hamilton" when the characters say We fought with him, Me I died for him, Me I loved him. Those statements apply to the characters in Act 1 and Act 2.
I’m obsessed with the idea of The Bullet being another figure of Death from “The Sandman, even though I know they don’t change forms really. I just think Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ariana, and whoever the casting director is for this version of Hamilton did great creating this character.
The first time I saw this was live and I wondered why “ the bullet” was a name in the program when it was an ensemble member. Then after watching the Disney show I noticed her more and more
I rewatched hamilton last night and noticed burr not moving in the surround during guns and ships. And during hamilton's soliloquy, the ensemble were dancing the steps in "my shot"
Just a quick note abut her idea of Angelica & Lafayette.....Lafayette was married & a father before he came to join the revolution, ( as was John Laurens).
I wonder if this pushing away of Daveed Diggs is really him trying to prevent interaction between Angelica and Jefferson, with whom she WAS linked (even though she was married....Hamilton wasn't the only scandalous figure back then)....and not Lafayette.
THE WAY SHE PRONOUNCES LAFAYETTE MAKES ME WANNA SCREAM (not hate, im just like rlly rlly obsessed with hamilton so small things like this just makes me annoyed, no hate!)
Idk if this counts but idk who else to tell. But in farmer refuted when Burr stops Hamilton from interfering with Samuel Seabury, Lafayette and mulligan Rock Paper Scissors for who has to distract Burr so Hamilton can compete with seabury
You forgot a part. In Story of tonight Reprise, while Burr and Alex are talking, Hercules mulligan pours a glass of champagne on a drunk guy on the back stairs.
