I got interested in history when I first learned about the Burr-Hamilton duel in school (shout out to my US history teachers they're amazing!!). I listened to the musical for the first time ever after doing a bit of research on Hamilton, which is why I decided to draw this historical animatic.
I was planning on finishing this in three days and posting it on July 12, which is the day Hamilton died, but I overestimated my speed and uhh it took me 4 days without breaks to finish. I'm still kinda impressed by myself tho lol I cranked out 300 something pictures in this little time :D I also ran into some problems when rendering the video, and those took me a day to fix. Aw man I really wanted to post this on July 12 but WHATEVER

I love how, towards the end, it, slowly, reveals the people playing them in the musical. As Lin-Manuel Miranda kept saying, Hamilton is a musical that tells the story of America then by America now and this animatic captured that message so beautifully!!!! Kudos to you 😊

Well not necessarily. It was founded not too long ago that the pistol Hamilton used had a cheating thing. He could set up the hair triggers without anyone noticing. Which is what may have caused him to Bobby trap himself and shoot too early and high. And he would have known this once it was a family used pistols. On the other hand, i believe I read somewhere saying hamilton saying he did not intend to shoot hamilton. Which could be true since his beliefs went against such violence. But I’m not exactly sure if he had said that since I do not have my sources or remember it clearly enough.

As much as I enjoy seeing the actors performing the songs, I really enjoy seeing historical animatics. It just makes the amateur historian in me squeal like a little schoolgirl.

I love how his plan is titled "Big Boi Rans" and that he's searching for BURRP. Also his hair at 2:29 is glorious and I love how they turned into the characters in the musical.

This is so good!!!! I love the way it really shows the story, it feels so fluid in the animation! And how you used historically accurate designs and showed the musical characters at the end. Honestly I've seen a lot of hamilton animatics recently and this is actually the best one. Also having the other characters that people played be turned around behind the one that's singing at the end is so good!! (Sorry this is long lol, its just a really amazing animation!!)

ok I just gotta say, WOW, I loved this! the attention to detail is so well done. Even the flag waving is the correct one (people often use the stripes with the union on it, but that was used in 1775) The backgrounds were so detailed, the movement, just everything. I also like that it's historical, then changes to the musical at the end. Its such a great concept that I'm sad doesn't get used as often. The art was beautiful and you did well portraying them. That's all I gotta say about the animatic and I'm gonna leave it off here by saying that you have a bright future ahead of you. ^w^

Omg this is soooo good. Out of all of these animatics of Hamilton, I have never seen someone do something like this. I love how you have the actual historical people, and then you have the people in the musical. AHHHHHH... It is just so good. I hope you do "Aaron Burr, Sir" because if you do I am going to watch every Hamilton animatic that you do after it! :3

I thought that this was really cool!! I loved how it was a mix of the historic characters and the musical characters at the end. And also I thought it was cool that you used the historic version throughout the song. You normally don't see that as often you know? I mean don't get me wrong the other animators are really good at drawing and stuff but I personal think that this was one unique because it had the historic characters and had a mix of the Broadway characters. I'm rambling sorry. I just want to tell you that you did a very good job in a long paragraph. I hope you are having a great day/night/afternoon/evening.

OMG I love this so much. I didn’t really know what to expect but I was definitely intrigued with how you decided to go with the appearance of these actual historical figures. I especially loved the transition with the between María, then Eliza and Burr - I felt that angst haha. On top of that, the way you transitioned from their actual appearance to the musical character appearance makes me thankful that people of color now represents what we know of Hamilton today. Anyway! Overall, bravo on this amazing animatic :)

Bruh I wish that I had stuff to animate but I actually have nothing other than a phone, and I really wanna do historical Hamilton because while I love drawing the cast I REALLY love drawing the historical figures and shiz, this is super amazing and gosh this just makes me wish I had things to animate, because I have really improved compared to the last time I did animation. Y las descripciones de los originales son tan precisas y hermosas 💕 I know everyone has said it already but this is beautiful 💖. The fact that the spirits of the people appear next to the actors blows your brain. And the descriptions of the originals are so accurate and beautiful 💕
