Hamilton Khaki Navy | What Happened? 

I have the black and orange version and I love it. 40mm is such a great size too. I don't understand why this watch isn't more popular.

I have the white on black with red minute hand and love it. I especially like the placed markers with smaller military print as well. The bracelet and clasp are fantastic and you won’t see a nicer one on some $2000 watches.

I have the all black and think it looks great on a Barton rubber strap (black top red bottom). I also have the 38mm field and wear it on a nato. Love them both.

I read all the comments and it appears that I am the only one who likes the blue color way on this watch. I could be wrong if I had it on wrist for a while, thus i definitely think you made the right decision in flipping the blue dial watch. I hope you get the watch with the black dial and hope it works out for you. Best of luck!

Interesting review and thoughts on your scuba. I have the original one with the stainless applied Arabic numbers and it runs +0 s/d after 16 years! I was also interested in the Mav’s book in the back, great read and incredible photos...at least that is a keeper ;)

I have a few Hamilton watches and I love them. I have the all black version and its a great watch. It's accurate to +1 second a day, and my most accurate watch. My other Hamiltons have been anywhere from +4 to +15 seconds a day off but I was able to regulate them to +2. My only real complaint with this watch is the bracelet. First, trying to adjust the bracelet, the pins were seized and really took alot to remove, second there's no taper to the bracelet so it's about 23mm at the buckle/26 at the buttons. Third, the edges are uncomfortably sharp, and last the buckle is a dual push button release, which I'm not opposed to but it doesn't always latch. I've adjusted it and it's at its best but I still double check because 2/5 times, it's not secure. It's a nice bracelet, well fitting solid end links, no stamped steel at all, including the buckle but it's just not comfortable to me. All of this is easily solved with a nato.

I agree with the comment by Kristopher below re business of the dial. Also I just don’t like a date at 4:00, especially if it is slanted. I too am a huge Hamilton fan and have looked at this watch many times, but just can’t get past those design elements. Personally, I like the blue colour more than the black. Thanks for the video.

Don't bother to try the Hamilton in black. It won't work. It would seem that this particular Hamilton watch is not for you.

That is a shame . I like it but we are all different. I have Hamilton khaki field automatic 38 mm and love it.

Thinking about this one, all black on a bracelet or Orient Kamasu. Not the same price point, but I like the orient brand more, although this one has a much better bracelet and the size of 40mm suits me better. Still not sure what to do.

Thanks for the review. I have the Batman version and Im happy with it. I have so many watches that the black and blue varient is just something different. My Tudor Steel is a bit different from the norm as well.

I've always thought this watch had some potential but I dont like the date wheel placement or the 100m on a diver. I also dont trust Hamilton lume so I skipped it. I think the all black would be better but you probably still wont love it.

I didn't even know Hamilton made dive watches until I perused their website. I guess there's a reason why their divers don't get the kind of media exposure that their other watches do.

Perhaps your dislike of the Hamilton Khaki Navy dive watch is that it doesn't resonate with you like the Khaki Field 38mm. I have the Khaki Field 38mm too and it gets the most wrist time for me. I'm thinking of picking up the white dial Khaki Field 38mm on the brown leather nato. Perhaps you should pick that up vs the khaki all black dive watch.

Love mine. Batman is the best looking version. Looks far better than your Field imo. I have the rubber strap. Get a ton of compliments on it. I think the black is boring and the orange is garish.

Does anybody know what’s the lug to lug measurement on this watch?

I wanted to like this watch too, but for me it was the dial design: I feel like the 24 hour markers make the dial too busy. Also without the 12 arabics - what are they really doing there? Black without the 24 hour numbers would be key.

Is that a black Nikon F2AS on the shelf? I really wanted to like the Hamilton Khaki Navy, I have an older Khaki King and a Jazzmaster Viewmatic with the high beat 2824. The bezel on the watch is 60 click and feels cheap, the watch is only rated 100m. I think that the Orient dive watches are better looking and better spec'd just not Swiss. You can buy a couple of Orients for the same price.

I forgot to mention I purchased mine at a jewelry store here in the Philadelphia area...$345.00 free shipping but tax added another $22.00 I thought $368.00 was a steal!!

I agree, I think all black looks much nicer. For me black and blue simply doesn’t work together. Great video as always!.

Think you would probably like the black better kind of see what you mean with the blue think it's alittle overkill.

This is a sad review for one reason. Dude, you don't dive. You don't scuba, you don't snorkle, you don't spend hours swimming in the ocean. Which is the reason for this watch. If you did any of the above activities, then you would understand, appreciate and love this watch. The lume is easily seen and the dial easily read when you're 75 feet below the surface. What went wrong was wearing a specifically targeted and made dive watch around pedestrian based land activities and wonder why it didn't resonate with you. Like wearing a pilots watch and never entering a cockpit. Pretty silly, actually.

Date at 4 is a deal breaker

With all the dive watches out there I couldn’t imagine buying this one. Looks lame
