This monologue takes place in the famous 'Graveyard Scene' in 'Hamlet', which is the moment when Hamlet and Horatio encounter two gravediggers, one of whom hands him a skull he has just dug up, which Hamlet recognises as belonging to one of his late father’s court jesters, Yorick. We know it's one of literature's most iconic philosophical meditations on the nature of life and death, but what if hidden in its message is a more surprising idea that might have us completely rethink what 'death' really means...
TIMESTAMPS:
02:00 - Point #1: Yorick's significance
06:07 - Point #2: Alexander the Great & Julius Caesar's commonness

What texts in particular would be helpful for you? If they are widely studied enough (like Hamlet), I'll definitely consider working on them! But in any case I'll be putting out more Othello / Hamlet content :)

@@JenChan love your othello content if you continue, if you can heres a few that i know most schools do who do AQA english lit like Othello, death of a salemans as i think theres loads to analyse, keats poetry, also im pretty sure all aqa a level students do unseen for paper 2 so that would be very helpful since its difficult to write perceptively on something you havent read like other sections on the exam, also kite runner ive found lacking alot in resources for analysis as most just give reader summeries which arent super helpful for a level students in terms of writing about it, handmaids tale ik is very popular also theres also poetry from blake and also selected poems. this is from my teacher as she said the majority a level students do these as my school decided to stick with content the majority do as resources are less scarce for the popular ones. also more walkthrough for sections would be helpful as it helps give an idea on how to generally approach questions and how to structure them when actually writing out an essay. sorry this is alot but anything from these would be super helpful!

@@woknow9356 Thank you for the info! Yes, DOAS and Handmaid's seem to be the more popular modern texts. I've got a Keats ode analysis lined up for the next month or so, and will try to work on some unseen walkthroughs because more people across different curricula will benefit.
