The topic of changing Gas 66 to the famous Hammer is not new, but it is interesting and there was a desire to make something like that.
The basis is taken of the chassis of the Gas 66, unchanged. The turbodiesel is 3.0 liters from Mercedes (OM 617) and 5 transmission gearbox from Mercedes 407 with its same clutch. The intercooler was also installed.
To go more comfortable and quietly selected Polish tires STOMIL 13.5 R18. The discs from ZIL 157, they are an inch wider than the gas of the 66th.
Installed Mercedes stove with a climate. Also there is heated mirrors, seats, which are taken from Citroen HM. They have good lateral support, and even electrically adjustable.
Front mounted 4.7 ton winch, diode headlights.
Made their own production steps.
The body is made entirely of metal. The body panels are fastened to rivets and are connected by means of a sealant.
The hood is also made of metal, a complex shape. Its manufacture has taken away most of the time.
The color is silver metallic. The machine consists of many elements and everything needs to be painted separately. The painting is almost complete.
