You need to swing out and set the ramp auger. Lot easier that way. Also, you do not need to haul the bags to the top of the tank. With the ramp out and set, just dump the bags into the feed auger and run through the mill for mixing. Do it with the cobs, lot easier and faster.
OMG your life is really magnificent, the good thing is that your children learn it from you and that is wonderful. I would give anything to leave the madness of life that Miami has and live in your place, breathe that air, enjoy nature, leaving the traffic and the daily movement that is lived here. I congratulate you !!! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!!! Love your family ❣️ 👏🤗💪 🥰
Copperhead Road Homestead Yes I do! You may have already seen him in that video I posted a link in the descriptions for. That was a really unusual video!
Wow Joel is a strong young man able to lift those 50 lb sacks up to you one handed @5 mins. I could never do that at his age. It must be his high meat diet😄😄 You'd best not get into an argument with him.
Shernette Williams Thank you so much! I am honored that you stopped by! If there was one video in the world that I wish you would wash would be this one! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Znf_t989u4k.html
Dude you have the best toys! But most importantly...I wanna know in intricate detail the workings on the inside of that machine b/c the squirrel couldn't get out hahahaha! We may be able to incorporate that technology into Eli's ninja rope thing :-) Thanks for sharing man...enjoyed watching!
Cruze's Louisiana Outdoors You suspend this machine from that rope....... every squirrel in the world would show up to try their hand at beating the system!!🤣😂🤣
I hate to put Dave out of a job, but this is supposed to work on Kubotas 1- start tractor 2- shift lever in N and park brake on 3- Lift seat forward 4- engage pto switch to on
Free is good, lol. There are still some good people in the world that will give things away and expect nothing in return. We had a Friend who gave us a roller mill and it works great. We roll our oats or barley for our cattle. Great video Brother!
Hello from Arkansas. Morning. When I was much much younger. Kinda like back in the day. LOL. We had one of them grinders kinda like yours. So before I could comment on yours. I had to call my oldest brother to see what kind we had. He said ours was a New Holland brand. We could grind hay or corn or other stuff like that. And add minerals as you did. Ours had different size screens depending on what we were grinding up. Thanks for making me think back again from days gone by. Have a super day my friend.
Good job! Does the little hopper on the back not work to put your minerals and additives in? I spent many an hr as a boy growing up on a dairy farm grinding feed for the cows. Its definitely dusty work.
If you need more feed storage barrels in the future, we've picked up several from LIvingston Garden Center. They a couple of sizes and are priced very reasonably, all with air tight seals. Also, out of curiousity, are you trying to increase milk production or just trying to provide a better quality feed?
Adam Merritt We’re just giving her some quality feed because her other feed got ruined by mice! We are very excited with the barrel information you just provided! Thanks!!!
Your Pastor is VERY grateful for the work you did rebuilding his burned building. I have watching you for two months and you are a very gifted carpenter. Your son's are gifted also. Love all your videos.
Hi McGie Homestead Adventures , Great video you have produced here, I really enjoyed it, great content. I particularly enjoyed the Hammer Mill starting at 2:00, seeing how you started an old machine up. I felt it was really informative and you really brought the point across well. I am really interested in engineering and have had a career in engineering for over 28 years from everything from starting as a mechanics assistant to now a Project Manager. I was raised on a mixed farm which was arable, beef, dairy and pigs. I enjoy sharing my skills and knowledge as well with others like yourself. I have provide training to others and had apprentices work with me to kick start there careers. I have started my own channel to share some of my knowledge of some maintenance skills which would be useful on a farm, you should check it out. I am a small You Tuber and a shout out would be nice. I thought your video was so good that I have subscribed and look forward to other Great content. Many thanks, Great job.
That's really awesome you got that gave to you ! My grandpa had one just about like it . You shouldn't have to climb on top to add the other feeds . You can add it right on the side .
Aaric Hale Yes that was a very amazing gift! I saw that box on the side afterwards and realized what it was for! But it is fun to climb up on top like that LOL
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures God was with us last night . It could have been a lot worse than it was . . It should of straight hit the house . We got some pics on Facebook .
Who does good deeds, good deeds he will receive .... , This restricted period is much easier than "accepted or supported" because of you ...I have the opportunity to take an "absolutely superb walk to see "so many things in your household ....Thank you very much...Take care of yourself and your family ...🙏👁️👁️👍
Maria Maria That’s awesome! And I have interesting news for you! The seeds.... do not worry about them coming...... they arrived back to my house!!! All the way from Zuruck! The most traveled seeds on earth!!!
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures I'm glad to hear this ... the seeds traveled to my place ...😂😂😂I would like to know if pepper seedlings should stay out or in the house?... The seedling is in very small, about a nail from your hand ... what to do?Outside are temperatures of (+) 😂18 degrees Celsius ...
Maria Maria You can put them outside when all danger of frost is past. They should be transplanted into the earth...... or bigger pots or buckets. They will enjoy the fresh air and full sun 🌞
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures Yes sir! ... thank you very much ... tomorrow morning I'm planting seedling in bigger pots ...By the way, the squirrel you found, looks like a smaller dinosaur skeleton ...😂😂😂thanks again!👋😊
If I was grinding corn for cattle I definitely would have gone with a screen with larger holes. I see you have a bigger one on the fender. Also, how fast were you running the engine? Sounded like it was a little above an idle but it might just seem quiet on the video. I would run full blast or near it.
I have come to your video to confront my childhood fear. whenever I saw the hammer mill rolling down the barn lane, I would run out next to my dad, and start crying... I was always afraid my dad was going to get hurt...
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures it was just a wacky childhood thing! I was always under foot with him, from being out at the shop, to riding in truck chopping silage!
Grinding with a backup still consuming hydrocarbon,s and oxygen (oxygen is partially water reduction of is lower presipitation lakes river,s more sink holes) allso work shortages.
