If there is ANY move in a video game that made me genuinely despise updates, it is Amy's hammer throw in Sonic.EXE: The Disaster. I got into this game in late 2022 and oh boy it's been a wild ride ever since. I was an Amy main and I decided to dedicate my time to learning hammer throw. It took a while with the moves' skill curve, but I got better. And eventually I made some amazing shots with the ability. My friends knew me as the Amy sniper. It became the thing in the game I was known for. I had became so integrated with this ability that I refused to do anything else in the game. All I wanted to do was play Amy and keep sniping. I couldn't put the character down. The only other character I would use is Eggman because of how easy he was, so he was my substitute if someone took Amy. And then came October 1st, 2023. The worst day of my life. This update changed a lot of things in the game which were for the better. They gave Shadow a move that made him a decent teammate sometimes, they nerfed the two best characters by far, Eggman and Cream, they added Sonic's lunge, which while annoying and makes the hitbox look stupid, at least makes people pick Sonic more often. And they also decided to remove hammer throw from the game. When I read the character changelogs and saw that they removed hammer throw, I legitimately cried on the floor like a baby for 2 hours straight. The move that I had dedicated an entire year of my life into, disappeared before my eyes on a day I didn't expect. If they wanted to add hammer bounce, they could've at least replaced hammer attack instead, it was less interesting and was just a more annoying version of Knuckles' punch. But they took a route that removed the best and most interesting move in the entire game in exchange for a mediocre escape tool that's really only useful on 2 maps. Are you kidding me!? This boring escape tool that has nothing going on is worth replacing a year of my life? Not only did this hurt me as a person, but it hurt Amy as a character. As Amy stands, she is just a worse, less helpful version of Knuckles. Hammer throw was the one thing keeping her interesting. 1.1 forced me to change to Tails, because he was the only character left in the game with a ranged stun. Tails was my only lifeline keeping me in the game. I hesitantly learnt how to play as Tails and then they added the 1.12 update. This update added extra darkness to the two dark maps, occasional blackouts to kindAndFair, and 2 screen blur effects. WHAT!? I swear they added this update to ruin my life with this game. As someone who is partially blind, it's now nearly impossible to see the screen when one of these random effects turns on, and now the only map I can reliably see in is hide and seek. First they removed my favorite ability, ruining my favorite character, and then they removed my ability to aim half the time whenever I use the alternative? Too many times have I played on kindAndFair and a blackout happens the MOMENT I'm about to shoot with Tails, and I miss my shot because I can't see the freaking screen. It's like this game is slowly getting more annoying to hit ranged with over time, and Amy's hammer throw and Tails' arm cannon were NEVER overpowered moves. Both of these moves were perfectly balanced in the sense that they were so slow at close range to where you always missed. It's getting too difficult to aim with Tails, even if I'm just copying over what I learned from Amy, and it doesn't ever feel satisfying when I use hammer bounce to gain movement or escape from Sonic. Whenever I use hammer bounce to escape, I just think about how much more fun it would be to throw my 200 ton weapon at the guy instead. At the time of writing this, it's been nearly 3 months since hammer throw was removed, and every day while I eat supper, I pray to the gods above that an update comes out that brings back hammer throw. I do not want a year of my life and my identity in the game to be taken away for the sake of freaking hammer bounce. This is a game that I enjoy too much in too many ways, but without hammer throw, the game feels incomplete. They don't even let you use it when you become a minion anymore, even though Tails got to keep his glide and even got its new energy mechanic. I don't want to see the character I spent a year on, practicing a very interesting and unique move for, turn into a worse version of Knuckles. Whenever I use Amy, it doesn't feel the same anymore.

I will miss too much your hammer throw!! It's so sad that it got deleted. Well... I will never forget how cool and great your hammer throw was! :)

honestly shame on outlaik for removing it, ik the hammer bounce is more useful but i enjoyed the hammer throw alot i mean i truly enjoy the game, but tbh why did the creator have to nerf the characters so terribly.
