stand against the oppression of religion that forces itself on someone. I may believe in God, but I won't kill for it...that is stupidity and arrogance to fight over whose god is bigger. Ride out the storm of life, and you'll be the "last man standing" (so to speak) in front of God Almighty being asked wether you oppressed or coexisted with your fellow man...BUT...force religion at me, and I might have to kick someone in the ass...that is the power of existence...live, love, fight if you have to to defend yours from those who wish to take it away from you, and most of all; ride out life to it's best! LotusKaiP true...I am a Christian by faith, (some treat it like a religion), but I am no pansy who will foolishly toss what I have been given, aside, either. This new "one world religion" will force everyone to submit just like all others have done in the past, or so they think...religion is bad news...it is death for any non-believer in their eyes, after a fashion. That is oppression...I have been told by others who believe similar to me I will die by the sword if I live by it...sure it has been said by Jesus, Himself, but I didn't see anything about it sending me to hell to defend what I hold dear...after all, I let myself be programmed for combat. I was military. I strike back only if provoked. Never was clear what happens after the enemy strikes the other cheek that is offered. I believe that is a free ticket to kick someone's ass. My wife is Buddhist, and she believes one reaps what they sow...I have to say, I agree with her even though I know the outcome of her logic for myself. If I fall in death, I'll go down swinging...maybe take a few with me along the way...
I'd say it depends on the form of provocation. What was used to strike the other cheek? If it's guns, knives, fists, or serious threats, then swing away, but if it's nothing but words, then resorting to violence is weakness. A form of catharsis to protect wounded pride, rather than a means to solve a problem.
