You'd think we're in the 1980s with all the damn ballads that make you want to slit your wrists... EDIT: We have an awesome underground metal scene...but the bands never take off in the mainstream...even though you find metal fans everywhere
@@MrPobanz No, it was actually BAAAAD. And they fortunately realized that immediately and got back to what they do best. Something like St.Anger from Metallica. And I'm a diehard Metallica fan.
Some of my favs from them:at the end of the rainbow,glory to the brave,secrets,Bushido,templars flame,natural high,hammer high,Hector's hymn...I fucking swear hammerfall is the best power metal band to ever exist.as much I enjoy iced earth and sabaton hammerfall is the music the gods.love live the legend's
Sweden 🇸🇪 has and still is a producer of some of the greatest Hard Rock & Metal music in the world. It’s right up there with Germany 🇩🇪. I’m 46 and grew up in the 80’s when Metal was popular and almost every Western nation had great bands. Europe, Treat & Yngwie Malmsteen were the best artists to come out of Sweden 🇸🇪. When Metal started to become less mainstream and for most parts became almost an underground movement again, namely here in the UK 🇬🇧, Sweden 🇸🇪 was one of the nations that continued the Metal tradition and kept the faith. Not like here in the UK 🇬🇧 which developed a love of hip-hop & Brit Pop. I have always followed the Swedish metal scene and when Hammerfall broke out, I was hooked from the first glorious album. For me, they are a true traditional Heavy Metal band. The members are only slightly older than me and their musical inspirations and influences are largely the same bands I grew up with. Well done HAMMMERFALL for still flying the flag of metal. Thanks ! 🙏 👍🏾 🤘
Sweden, we appreciate everything you've done and all the contributions to metal as a whole. You have produced some of the best metal/rock of the last few decades. We all say thanks
if they went in, they wouldn't get good placing since the newer generations can't understand the brilliance of Rock. Most born after 2000 wouldn't vote, since we've HAD great bands in melodifestivalen trying to qualify but sadly we still sent old relics like Carola or some mainstream boring popsong.
I hope these guys never retire. Always make great positive motivation metal music. A lot of bands these days are always about sadness and depression. HammerFall I love because most of their songs is positive, upbeat with a power metal attitude of "Never Give Up. Never Surrender!"

I grew up listening to HammerFall, I remember rocking in elementary school with my headphones & HammerFall shirt ignoring the world because of you guys! That was long long time ago! Mother of God I remember when I heard ''Hearts on fire'' for the first time, good old times! After all these years, I'm still loving you guys! So freaking epic band! Much love from Croatia!!

If any country's metal scene deserves a "You know what? We're pretty fucking awesome!" song, it's Sweden. I've always said that if you want great music, look no further than Sweden. Always a consistent level of musicianship and songcraft coming from there. Hail!

@@Williezhue And why's that ? For ME the best metal in the world comes from Sweden cause I absolutely love death/melodic death and black metal. Finland, Germany and Norway have fantastic metal too. And US for me what really matters in old school death and thrash
@@KreshDraven6 So we're both commenting from behind our own taste. Older metal was more 'discreet' I guess, just like this song is. And what comes to US, half of them seem to be insane and they like to scream alot. At least those more on the surface.

@@gipsysidney5737 First time i listened to them, i fell in love (it was At The End of The Rainbow). I didnt really knew that this was metal, i just liked it af. After couple months, manowar finished me and i become "metalhead"
@@sharkhardware My 1st one was Hearts on Fire. It was kinda forced experience. Back in those days i enjoyed Dream Trance and Piano Solos(Philip Wesley - Dark Night of the Soul for example) and i was also one of those people who think metal is notbing but scream and noise. But Hamerfall really made me reconsider.
