Using a Kubota KX121-3 mini excavator with a Mongo tilt bucket and a Yanmar b37 excavator with a rock blaster hammer to dig a drainage trench behind a house.
I don’t believe they intended the hammer for the concrete lining initially already. An excavator easily scoops that not-reinforced layer of concrete away. The homeowner knew about the bedrock for which he adviced Andrew to bring the hammer.
Nice job Andrew on cutting that ditch in - I also like how you handle your video edits (keeping it moving - not boring) and the follow-ups are the frosting on the cake.
Hey Andrew my name is Cody, I live near Asheville NC. I came across your videos a while back and let me tell you... Best drug there is. I'm addicted. Not a day or night goes by that I'm not watching or rewatching your videos, The passion you have is truly inspiring, love how you explain and breakdown everything you talk about, and being a dog person myself, I really enjoy how you always include Levi and Cody into everything you do. Can't wait to see all your future videos, thank you for all that you do. Cody.
I really appreciate Andrew taking his time uploading good content. He waited until it rained so he could show us the purpose of his work. Excellent work!
thanks for always going back to your jobs after they're complete to show the final update, that water is flowing beautifully. great work and great video. Really enjoy your content Andrew!
Yup....always the complete story!! Too many others leave you feeling like you never got to hear the punchline to the joke they were telling. Not Andrew....we always get the satisfaction of seeing how it turned out.....THANKS Andrew!!!
@@554jv Disposable ear plugs are of no vail. He needs actual pro ear "muffs", covering the whole ear, with noise cancellation a bonus. From a guy with years in industrial personal protection and safety management. The worst guys to convince are the older ones. The same ones that shout "WHAT ??" when you talk to them...🙄
I look forward to every episode. You never leave out a detail. Explaining even the smallest point. Making sure everything is working properly; even to the latch on a window. Also along with you is your faithful companion. lol He never misses a thing. Continued success. Stay safe and healthy.
That's a hell of a place to build a house without ever diverting the water, there's probably a river of water running under that house! Good luck to that guy!
There is 2 types of water, surface and below surface. I think the water problem is below surface, flowing through those rocks. A trench will not fix that, unless it goes through all rock layers.
When you hammered that first layer of concrete, then had to go back and hammer more layers I was thinking, "Dang, how many feet of concrete did that guy pour in there?" Then I realized it was rock
Thank you for such a satisfying conclusion to all of your videos. Really like the way your videos are laid out. You're obviously doing this to tell a story, and not dragging things out like most people on RU-vid. "Part 45 of digging a trench"
I think the excavator with the jack hammer was a great investment. Andrew's projects seem to be running into more and more rocks and that jack hammer is becoming more useful.
lol today i have been going through all your old uploads ( I thought i had watched them all) and found some old but new videos I had missed, like installing the Sprouse trees , installing the concrete frog and a 1 or 2 more videos, thanks mate, you're doing a great job... i was amazing seeing Levi running and playing with his 2 other friends in the Frog video, he is such a beautiful dog, and of course our new pup Cody is such a fast runner as you know
The reason Andrew is so darn popular is because he has the "it" factor. The combination of personality, knowledge, talent, respect, creativity, caring, calmness etc. is very rare these days. You have a bright and a more successful future coming your way Andrew... Anyone who loves dogs and welds a thin, 1/8 inch wide piece of steel to rescue an old chainsaw is OK in my book... My favorite phrase Andrew always uses is, "that thing." Well done Andrew Camarata, Dad Camarata, Levi and Cody...PS...Love your third floor castle door and "Lets get to work.".....
That bucket set up is the ticket. I owed a small excavation company in NY State years ago. I wish they had the mini excavators and track skid steer units available back then. I did new site work on the side of mountains from clearing, to the concrete work. You have a great setup. Nice work Andrew.
just about to go to bed in Australia and got my subscriber notice that you posted another video... thanks Andrew I like and look forward to all your uploads
Andrew , you're editing is getting amazing . With all the rock you see in the Hudson valley, you will be the "go to "excavator in the area and beyond .
This project adds value to that property. After a couple of rain storms it will look like natural creek visible from the hot tub. Awesome job and it is great to watch Andrews vids on a Sunday with a cup of coffee!
@zanko700 Glad to hear from both of you in your countries, Andrew is a good example of what built America, not what you probably hear in the news that it going on over in our liberal cities. I am thankful to have been born in our great country.
Cody drinks many different water source's, but he didn't rip any sticks out of the ground this time, and he didn't take off with any gloves, tow straps, and he wasn't running like a mad dog. Thanks for another great video, and the rock bed you have down there is hard core, literally. God bless.
I live in the mountains in the west and the ground is granite versus shale. It will break, but the small hammer Andrew has wouldn’t do it. I see hammers on 335 and larger machines. Mostly, it’s blasted away. Much quicker and quieter than hammering, but not for a shallow trench.
Hi Andrew, didn't you buy this huge rock cutting wheel (6 feet or so) that you used to put a power line out from the workshop to a light at the corner? I thought that would have worked pretty well there.
Have you ever thought about getting or fabricating a big ripper tooth for the hitachi? Shale seems to be a big part of the rocks around, that stuff is pretty easy to pry loose...
Was watching a old video of yours and wondered if you’ve uploaded a new video and I look and see you did 16 minutes ago, you just made my day 2x better!
Andrew, you are definitely an abnormality in this day and age. Young, ambitious, hard working, smart. Not too many younger people like yourself. Good for you!
Yet another incredible job. Not easy ground and Andrew is a grafter. Respect to the guy driving the truck and doing groundwork. Love the tilt bucket. It appears to have a greater degree of curl with the system making it a little longer. Who else watches Andrews videos and Shazams the music I have this feeling Andrew loves techno and hard house style club music. I'm guessing it's all royalty free yet it highlights Andrews taste in good music
I think this is my favorite channel on YT and I watch a lot of stuff. I’m not sure if Andrew is a better operator or a better editor. It’s close. Keep it up. Thanks for all the great vids.
It's crazy to see all the extra equipment and work required to do what would be such a simple job in most other parts of the country. Nice work as always...thanks for sharing!
Andrew, your drive and attitude and work ethic is outstanding. You surprise me every recording. I hope you have someone that you can pass on your abilities and knowledge. I am viewing your purchase and repair of the two wave runners. Thank you for doing such a great job. Joe
I am constantly astounded at the amount of rock there is there. Would the Ditch Witch have been another way to cut a trench or would the cut not be wide enough to stop flow jumping over it? Curiosity question from someone whose skills were in aviation and IT. This is not specifically for Andrew to answer as I imagine he would be a tad busy so it is for anyone who may be kind enough to answer. Thanks if you do and much appreciated. *Thank You* for sharing Andrew. 👍
Very nice job. The right tools make the work happen. The implement you made for digging ditches worked well for loosening the broken up rock the hammer attachment made. Great result. And yes gutters on the house needed too.
Andrew take you very much for another excellent video I definitely love seeing the dogs you know Cody is a wonderful puppy miss Levi but I know it's hard for him to get out and do inspections he would rather enjoy himself kicking back at mom and dads house at your house help you keep up the great videos love watching you work on things and do things correctly you are a young man with wonderful motivation and you will go far in life once again thanks James T North Carolina super big fan of you and the pups
Andrew's special touch is the little things. He didn't have to go back and get video of the water flow - but that made the whole twenty minutes of digging worth while - you can see that the problem went away - and there was a ton of water flowing through there. Good Job Andrew.
If only there was a thing that could rotate the bucket aswell 360° mounted on the machine so that it could be used with any bucket or implement imaginable. oh, wait. there is.
Good morning Andrew, this job was nicely done. Fixed it up right good and proper. The first scrape with the grading bucket and I went 'Ughhh, that's not good farmland.' Glad you had the hammer, this was some hard digging. Perhaps you should store some hearing protection in the excavators, it would have come in handy for this job. Anyway, thanks for the upload, good to see you back at it again.
So many channels like yours have helped inspire me to start my own channel I sprayfoamed the outside of my container and have a r19 value. Better on the roof. Love how you get right to it without a bunch of talking
Kubota makes some really high-quality stuff. I think a few years ago they were considered a distant 2nd or 3rd to the big brands like CAT/DEERE/Bobcat, but now I would say they are on par or better than anything else out there.
I like your new trailer brother! Glad to see you back on the job Andrew! That’s a lot of rock there! Now it looks like a natural drain , good job brother !
It’s really great that you can transport 2 machines on your new blue trailer on the same trip , especially since you are a one man band most of the time ! Thanks for sharing your World with all of us on RU-vid!
That house really should have been built on a pier system. Could you imagine how strong piers would be if you pored concrete into a 4 deep foot hole in that bedrock?
You should do another welding tutorial if you haven’t done one. I’m sure you have gained a lot of tips and tricks and knowledge on welding b/c of the roof you did last summer.
These videos are so awesome as usual, I enjoy them every single time! Keep up this amazing work man. As well I have to comment on the waterfall at the end, that was beautiful.
The difference in the work done from just a dirt trench to a actual trench where the rock is the trench itself.. yep thats fix forever ! I hope you got a good check from that haha
