The Hammetschwand Lift is a exterior elevator. Its the highest exterior elevator of Europe. It is located in Switzerland. From here you have a beautiful look of the Lake Lucerne.
I'ts what we, living here in the Mountains, are calling the "Nebelmeer" which would translate to something like "Fog Sea" (literal translation) or "Cloud Ocean"
Carina michelle Yes! I saw that orange glow at the bottom too. I'm not sure the journey from Heaven to hell would be as enjoyable. Hopfully, I will be going the opposite direction, but no time soon.
Last night I had a dream that a big terraforming project went on and they built a mountain extension around it, the shaft was covered by glass and a second elevator was built right next to the origanal one and both elevators were put on the same controller and selector system and both elevators were modded and looked all boring and crappy and the worst part is that they removed the guide rails and the elevator was swinging like hell on the way up but going down was just fine somehow
I even bet it was even harder to get the wires to go from the call buttons up to the machine room because 1 it needed to be out of the way of the elevator car as its moving and 2 it probably goes through one of the support beams which is a tight squeeze for the wires
