Does anyone else share Hammock's music with friends and family only to hear them say "makes me feel sleepy"? I get so frustrated! What about the depth, the beauty and the brilliance? Am I the only one who feels lifted into a state of mental transcendence? When I listen to Hammock, I can see the past, present and future, access long forgotten memories - it's like I've opened a door and walked into another spiritual universe! Amazing. No other music has inspired this kind of experience for me.

What I love about Hammock, among many things :), is that when you think you’ve heard the best part of a 7-minute song, there’s still a gorgeous cello solo remaining 60 seconds before the end, without the result sounding messy or rushed. Where did that come from now?!? That was to me the best part of this new song. Astonishingly beautiful!

With Hammock's songs, I feel that I'm just discovering a fragment of infinity but still, I can only touch it with my heart and that's what makes it so beautiful... Isn't it the same for love ? For God ? Life is full of possibilities but our brain is so weak, I think everyone should be doing this : listening to peaceful music and try to reach this deepest side of us. Hammock, your art has never failed to bring back the peace and calm that I have always wanted back in my life. I have been forced to go through some changes in my life I would never want to have forced upon some of the most foul people I know. Even if the relief is only temporary, you music has given me that chance to just breathe, this song especially connects as I approach the anniversary that signals another passing year from when another two of my old friend's deaths had occurred, I am afraid to forget, about them, the times we shared, the last time I spoke to them and the promises I made. Hammock has always brought this deep painful bliss whenever listening to their music. It reveals the soul in all its forms. Its beauty, it's brilliance, it's heartbreak. When I listen, I am reminded of how great it is to be human, in all our human flaws. Hammock paints the soundtrack to my soul. I once went on a trip to the Canadian wilderness. Hundreds of miles away from a single person. I took my ipod. I remember laying on the rocks next to a river, the sky was blue, the water was blue, and I was listening to Hammock. It was a surreal experience. It cemented this band into my being. Whenever I listen I don't feel like i'm listening to music, I feel like i'm experiencing what it means to live life. I can't ever thank you enough for this.

Amazing song by amazing artist what is this heaven?

I lowkey come to hammock to sleep or start questioning life choices and make some. one time I listened to hammock while drawing and felt this lightness in my hands and chest. felt transcended and that I was above myself. this peace and content emotion hammock gives volume to is incredible. even when the music gets louder I feel like I am on the edge of a cliff, wanting to get closer to the sky. probably gives me the best sleep/nap I can ask for if not an amazing art session.

Why is hammock so underrated?

Every year I make statistics of my music listening. Hammock was the best music band for me in 2020 and “Afraid to forget” was the best track for me in 2020.

It's been a while since I've listened to you guys.

I think this new album "Silencia" may be more of an aquired taste than the more immediate masterpiece "Mysterium", but the more you listen the more you love it. Yet to hear the entire album so can't measure it fully against their previous stellar work. I've a feeling though once it's out & we"ve absorbed it it will rank among Hammock's finest. I personally love best their more ambient tranquil tracks tinged with a melancholic undercurrent. Thanks Gentlemen for making music that touches the heart & soul & does not sell out to the shallow transient pop culture of the day. 500 years from now the world will be studying & playing Hammock music like we do Mozart or Beethoven today. Take that to the bank.

My introduction to Hammock came through them working on Far Cry 5 (video game) so to have their music emotionally attached to a game is nothing short of mesmerising. I've not hammered any soundtrack since the game came out a year or two ago like the CD's worth of Hammock "loving" they gave to the soundtrack. Out of this world. If the longer-term fans of hammock are interested, it's their Re-Interpretation CD for the soundtrack. It's definitely on RU-vid to listen to.
