6 years ago, this made me dream. Then I became stone hard. Loss of friends, careers never achieved, and feelings misplaced. And I forgot this song's title and band till now. Thank goodness. I want to switch it all around again. To dream with eyes open once more. This is what that song means to me. Thank you hammock. Thank you.

I'm with you. I like this thread. 4 years ago it seems I started losing everything; my wife of 18 years, my dog, my self esteem, my youth ( going), finally even the will to live. .It seemed like for those four years nothing at all good happened in my life, only losses and regrets. Now I have a new puppy, getting into shape riding my mtn bike again, maybe I can turn things around. For me I realize my happiness does not depend on ( "the right") someone else. If I can only remember that. This video says to me, we create our own happiness.

In an ancient Japanese legend, it's been said that when someone makes 1000 paper cranes in a year, they can make a wish at the end that will be granted. I wonder what this little boy wished for. I wonder what his story is.

***** Maybe! However it seems as if this little boy doesn't have a home or if he does, it might not be much of one. It almost seems as if the cranes are a means of escape for him from whatever he's going through. Maybe he's wishing for something deeper than what appears on the surface.

I am 19 and i am kinda dreamer, sometimes i sit alone in the dark room, listening to music like this and reading beautifull thoughts people wrote under these videos, everyone are so open-hearted if there is a word like this, i feel so connected with u all, it's like a meditation. If you are lucky to get really deep in this music and your mind u can discover feelings almoust as thrilling as they were in your childhood, with the years it becomes harded and harder to do it, so appreciate this music

i don't know if I can put into words, the ambiguious feeling I get when I watch this video. Sad? Happy? Happy to be able to feel sad? Compasion. The boys compasion for the mundane, becomes the most significant virtue in the story. It certainly invokes and pulls on the human emotion. Thank God.

I'd never heard of these guys until today! Ricky Gervais posted that he was listening to them so I RU-vidd them and OMG so peaceful. It's a Sunday night Ive had a heavy weekend and I'm sat in my room bollocko with this playing from my tablet and echo at full volume. I used to listen to this everyday after a really bad break up, if anything it helped me get through the heart ache and find my peace of mind, one of the most heart warming, true to self songs I've ever listened to. Years later, happily married to someone new, I still listen and remember the peace it gives me, this has never failed to remind me of what hope to have in your heart.

I remember when I discovered hammock probably about 10 years ago on echoes. This song in this music video is one of the most inspirational works of art that I've ever come across. I remember sitting in a cold car at work on break sometime in January and I completely went to another place. This song represents keeping art alive. I'm so glad I discovered hammock when I did.

Wow. The kid was an orphan. More than likely because his parents died. And the two birds flying by was probably representative of the two parents. Very moving song.
