I've had mixed results with Hamrs. First time it did not play well with my Samsung tablet (some kind of memory buffer issue = crashfest). Gave it another shot a couple weeks ago & it ran like a champ. Leaving tomorrow for a weeklong POTA & hunting run. This vid has good info I haven't seen/known prior. -K0ATV-

Yeah it’s come a long way. It’s cool because it’s open source an Jarrett the creator is pretty responsive and will fix problems as quick as possible with no real down time. There are updates every so often to correct issues and he responds to complaints and tries to accommodate peoples requests for additional features and other capabilities when possible. Try it out more and see if there is much capability for you during your trip. I used it on two different POTA’s and a SOTA just in the past 3 days with no issue other than the county field you saw in the video. Ham-Solo K0FYR

@@Ham-Solo It ran great at Apishapa K9607. I feel alot better about it now. Will still keep paper logs onhand but trust it alot more now & will continue to use. 😁

@@thed8229 That’s awesome man I glad you were able to use it successfully. I feel that it just keeps getting better and better especially with the feedback we give and Jarrett implements. There is a report that a new database rewrite is in the works for the end of the year and that a migration of logs, profiles, and settings is in the works. Let’s hope all goes well and that we can have a more stable platform for use at all of our future activations. Ham-Solo K0FYR
