Hi there, please do not touch your new born hamster using your bare hands. The mother hamster might eat the baby if the smell is different. Try to use hamster scoop. i highly recommended to remain with the same cage when she delivered the babies. Sometime the mother feel threaten if we use different cage and she might eat the babies as well. all the tips based on my experience only. have a nice day👍💖

yesterday my baby hamster was born and only one then today he died and the mother hamster did not want to breastfeed i dont know why, pls answer :(

A Mehrun if ur hamster is still young she maybe not ready to become a mother, go take the babies and feed them the goat milk, watch abandoned baby hamster tutorial

hello dear, it is normal to see the robo hamster put many foods inside her mouth pouch especially peanuts and sunflower seeds. You will see more like this when they are pregnant. Good question!!💗💗

i strongly suggested move back the mother and live together with the father in different cage. Lets the children only live together. If you put all together in one cage, the mother might getting pregnant again and the father with kill and eat the children. Separate them is the better solution. Thanks for the good question 👍💓

Hello dear, it is not normal. Normally the mother will assemble all her babies and easy for her to feed the babies. if the mother scatters the babies around outside the hamster house, a few possibilities here. 1) The house is too big and they will feel insecure. 2) The house smell needs to be neutral. yes, you should move the male to other cage quickly. make sure the mom and babies stay together for 3 weeks. Then separate the mom for 1 week alone before she start to stay with the male again. why??? sometime the male might eat the babies.

@@jessejohnson7618 the mother is dead now because a wild rat came in my robo enclosure (I went home late and the lid was open). The rat slaughtered the entire family but only leaving 1 female baby robo. She hid in the tunnel and the rat cannot reach her. She live with her father now in one cage with trauma and always run away if I came closer to hand feed her. I also had trauma and make sure the lid is not easily opened now. Sorry for the gruesome story

Hi my dear, What you need to do after your hamster deliver the babies: 1) Clean the cage right after deliver. Sometime red ant will visit the cage because of left over blood and bite the babies 2) Remove the babies and the mother from the cage 3) Do not touch the babies by your bare hand because to maintain the smell. If the babies smell change, the mother will eat the babies. Pls use small scoop to pick up the babies. 4) After clean, put them back into the same cage that she deliver the babies. If she notice, the cage is different, she might eat her babies too. 5) Give some tissue paper for the mother to comfort the nest. MAKE SURE it is far from drinking bottle. If the tissue got wet and her mother put the tissue around the babies, the babies will die within 5 hours. Hope this will help. 😘😘

dont worry. at the 1st time, always around 3 babies becuase their body still hard to expand. then, after 2 nd time preganancy, they normally deliver around 5 to 6 babies. make sure the male age around 2 months to 1 year.
