The 👏VERSATILITY👏 Volcano definitely has 90s vibes and Miserable to me is super 2000s (someone said Craig David style and I fully agree). I LOVE when he changes up his voice and the fact that he released Miserable right after performing a rock song live?? Bro can do it all

The way he almost didn’t audition for JYP cos he thought he wouldn’t get in and then pulls this shit, being the ace of his group, and surprising so many ppl with his talent (ur watching Kingdom rn, so I’m sure you’ve seen the other teams blown away with how he’s an incredible rapper AND an incredible singer AND dancer, and produces as well?!) He has this way with words that works with so many genres and feelings when in songs, he’s genuinely in my opinion, the best songwriter in his group because his songs always have a special way of pulling me in.

He says he gets his lyric and song inspiration from movies/tvs/books but the amount of emotion he puts into it always has me second guessing that statement he always gives with these songs. Obviously, I can only believe what he says but also, I understand 100% that he is an idol and sometimes they can’t or won’t share their personal lives….so whilst he may say what his inspiration is…I take it with a grain of salt and just move on because there is no effing way that he hasn’t experienced some of what he writes about with the amount of emotion he throws into it.

these 2 songs are really something else! but i also would love you to check out wish you back by han if you haven’t already. it’s inspired by the anime ‘your name’ with the imagination of having a different ending from the actual movie. “this is my life but why are you the main character?” kind of vibe. han said that he was wondering being the main character looking for someone or something but couldn’t even remember or know what it is (if the movie ended differently). also I really love the outro of the song, he sounds really emotional and desperate

COMPLETELY AGEEE! Ugh, please know that you just made my whole night. I just needed to see ONE PERSON who understood either... A. Not all of Han's solo songs are based on fiction, and no matter where in his life he pulled the lyrics from... (🙄 Yeah, baby, Volcano is definitely about us. Whatever you say, love.) That doesn't change the fact that some of his solos are his true reality. 2. When it comes to Han, you can not simply listen to the song and run with your first impression of the lyrics. 99% chance that you will be wrong. Lol, you have to sit and work through them, just how he did while writing them. You have to take each and every sentence and its meaning into account and factor it into the story he's telling. So, the better your "emotional intelligence" is, and the more you can relate to the characteristics that make Han who he is. (Specially mentally) The better chance you have at understanding the song correctly. Which, in the case of 'Volcano', is of the utmost importance because it's not sad at all! I honestly feel bad for Han. He wrote a TRULY beautiful song about healing, having someone you will do anything for and who would do anything to protect you. About having all the things that were once your living nightmare be flipped turned upside down because of them. All because of that love, real love, and the happiness it had brought him.... Plus, as you are talking about, all the other things he never had in his life as well. Being SEEN, having YOUR person, belonging. Specially feeling safe and being willing to put himself out there, not to mention being so very strong and confident. All the things that in Alien he wasn't. It's really amazing and just.... ahhh!!! Lol

To put it simply, 'Miserable' is purely fiction. However, 'Volcano' is not. He said that was from his heart. Moreover, I am leaving this comment before I even watch the video. Lol No, 'Volcano' is NOT in any way, shape, or form sad or toxic. There is nothing at all wrong with being willing to take a bullet for someone you love. The only way that could ever turn toxic is if the person you love ALLOWS you to take that bullet for them. Based on the fact that the person in his song has refrained from allowing Han to see those scars in of itself proves that they do not wish to risk that. The entirety of the lyrics point to the deepest of love, completely and utterly untoxic, and beteeen to imperfect and flawed people who have scars from their past. And whom would do anything to protect each other from getting hurt, whether that be by their hand or the persons past. You just have to avoid latching on to a few negative sounding words, because In the full context, they aren't at all negative. Simple as that. In fact, if you ask me, 'Volcano' and 'Miserable' are quite literally polar opposites of one another in basically every single way.

Not sure if the reason he writes melancholic songs is maybe his signature or has something to do with his depression and anxiety that ironically inspires him for this kind of music or he is thinking of Lino 🤣 but they are always good.
