How this man did not make it to the finals is beyond me. Bravo! A phenomenal Liszt performer!

I have only had a chance to watch/listen to Sonnambula. I heard his recording elsewhere on RU-vid and was excited to find this live version. What remarkable playing. To be able to sort out all the voices, articulate clearly all the ornamentations, and never let the melodies falter is no small feat. 28:48 and 30:06 are great examples. I think his live version here is even better than the recording! Virtuosity and a laser-like focus and concentration. To me, this piece is the pianistic version of trying to walk at least 8 different size dogs up and down the streets on NY City. He never lost control of the dogs nor did he let the leashes get tangled. And he made it look so easy :)
