韩飞龙在实战中常将许多太极拳元素融入其中，阴阳开合、虚实转换、刚柔相济，将太极莲花摆腿、迎面拳、肩靠、舍身踢、刁手棚、勾脚棚、剪刀腿、旋风踢等技术灵活多变地运用于比赛中，棚、捋、挤、按、采、挒、肘、靠，太极八法在韩飞龙的比赛中都有所体现。
萨蒙达实力不俗，获得过塔吉克斯坦泰拳冠军、WMF亚洲金腰带，泰拳技术精湛，而且对自由搏击规则也有着很强的适应能力，甚至还在中国客场击败过中国名将神鹰贾奥奇。
韩飞龙遭遇了职业生涯最无奈的对手，萨蒙达的实力过硬，但是小动作频出，不过赛前韩飞龙对对手进行一些了解，早已做好了思想准备，不跟着萨蒙达的节奏走。经过第一回合的摸底，第二局韩飞龙火力全开，拳腿频频得手，重拳将对手击倒读秒，到了第三局，韩飞龙一记高扫直接重创对手头部，两次被读秒后，萨蒙达踉踉跄跄，无法继续比赛，韩飞龙以KO胜出。
