Now I can get behind this one Hana!! This is Excellent! One of my all time favs and you kicked ass. You have such a beautiful voice! Keep up the great work. I love the tweeks and twists on this song. You made it yours, but I could still find the song I love in it. Best cover I have heard of Creep. So Jealous.
so great. i dont subscribe to much, but you have a new sub from me. i love your voice, and your choice of songs is amazing. i know this is creep, but you could cover every breaking Benjamin song there is and id buy all the albums.
How can you listen to her here and call it devoid of emotion? Are you kidding me? If I had never heard this song before, which is laughable considering the radiohead fan that I am, BUT IF............... I would be moved by this. And it would be due to Hana's conviction while she sings it. Scarling's version was awesome too but can you not appreciate a piece of music for what it is? Hana sang this song the way many girls who felt "outcast and against the grain" would sing it.
surely if you felt it should be sung with an "outcast" feel, it should have a sad atmosphere to it, like radiohead and scarling have achieved, but listen to the first minute of this, that rigid, poppy guitar rhythm adds a beat which should hardly be there at all, then the loud dynamics and then the DROP in texture and pitch into the chorus throws away everything emotional and good about the song, there are moments when she's kind of on the right track but not many...
Ughhh, this is what is wrong with modern music, excessive ornamentation is not good! She's also lost all of the emotion that goes with the song. This is not the best cover, after their cover Scarling can wipe their arses with this.
I'm not liking Scarling's cover whatsoever, although I do respect your opinion on Hana's version, for at least you come up with valid reasons why you don't like it instead of just stating "it SUCKS!" In regards to Scarling's version, the vocal effects and screaming just F it up for me, plus the instrumentation is just too loud and clangy during the chorus. But yeah, it's all subjective: one person's garbage is another's treasure and all that
