First part of the kata is actually good and practical (speaking from fight experience). Second part might work one out of a thousand times. After you smack the wrist, much more practical to use the sick like a normal bludgeoning device will continuing to move back. No guarantee that your opponent will be damaged enough to actually drop the knife. Trained a lot with wooden sword, and it takes a significant amount of force to get someone to actually drop their weapon. Seems like a half decent dojo. Keep practicing my friends!

Great Video!!! The skill level is evident with the ease of instruction and demonstration. I'm sure that didn't feel good even though it was covered with leather.

Sensei Norcross, My experience with Bujinkan there is great emphasis on accurate striking to vital points and there is great emphasis on the timing of those strikes. This is also really key for training that approaches realism without injuring training partners. Is there a way of gazing, or focusing that allows for greater accuracy in addition to long and consistent training?
