The rat is a Black Rat, or a European Ship Rat. The same species that are reckoned to of spread the black plague. These disease ridden rats are the common rat found throughout the world in urbanized cities and towns and threaten local wildlife species. A blood drawing scratch from one of these could be seriously threatening if not treated, as this species carries many destructive diseases in their urine and poop, tho generally not in their mouth.
