Some artists work in oil paint, others in stone or wood. George works in aluminum or “Al-Lu-min-e-um” as you say down under. And what a beautiful job! I can’t say enough to express my thoughts. Got me thinking about building a CAT that’s been swirling around in my dreams for the last twenty years. Credit to Timmy as well. I love your channel. Turned on the captions so I could understand what the h you are saying 😊. Greeting from Los Angeles

Just finished watching all 4 parts and this project is epic! George has gold in his fingers and his work is spot on. You are very lucky timmy to be going down this path and your hard work has paid off mate. Cant wait to see that engine go on and the wrap! Betting on a 250 or 300hp such as a SHO Vmax 4 stroke yammie....! You deserve someone to come on board with an outboard!!! Epic mate 🤙🤙

Bloody great series, Loving the custom parts of the plate boat. Personally I'd have a natural livewell/toilet up the back :D but everything else is pretty much how I'd do it myself! I did a 10 week welding course at tafe years ago, it's 100% practice man. you'd probably have more hours under the hood than I got in those 10 weeks. Grinder and paint makes me the welder I aint.

Id be interested in having gorge go over some of the welding equipment he has in his shop I'm going to guess they are all synergic pulse migs with push pull guns but the brand names down under are a lot different then here in north America. One thing is for sure he had them dialed right the fuck in no sputter on the start up minimal soot (for what i assume is 5356 wire) and nice pen with good weld profile.

The Castolin kit is re-badged Fronius, widely considered to be the best kit there is. The CEA (pronounced Chee-ah) is Italian and a great little set too. Both as you say are synergic pulse migs and they will have all the adjustments you need for soft start, inductance, crater fill, double-pulse etc. The castolin machine does have a push-pull gun fitted, the smaller yellow CEA has a conventional push type torch fitted.
@Brainmalfuction

@@jimdavey871 thanks very much for the reply I've never had the chance to run a Fronius but i hear they are one hell of a welder to use. I run Lincoln 350MP's in my shop which are a lot more common here in Canada then Fronius and have a bit of a different adjustment set up but gets the job done .
