My brother and I made some hand dipped candles and thought we'd share with you! Sorry the audio runs on longer than the video, I forgot to shorten it before uploading!

We have been making beeswax candles long enough to understand your preferences. With a keen eye and the perfectionism of a master, we make beeswax taper candles like an artist makes a baroque painting.

Thanks for sharing! Where did you get the wooden rack you are using to dip? What do you call it? a dipper?? LOL

Yeah, basically, LOL. If you search Google for "taper candle dipper" you will find some dipping rings (metal). My Uncle made this wooden one for me. He used my Aunt's dipper for a pattern, but I'm not sure where the original came from. You could check Etsy too.

What do you do when you're done of dipping and there is still wax in the tin? Do you just let it harden and use it next time? Also, what wicks do you use?

Yes, any leftover wax I just let harden in the tin to use for next time. The size wick I use is "small flat braid for taper candles up to 2" diameter." It doesn't say what ply it is (how many fibers are braided together). The brand is Yaley Candle Crafting. I laugh when I see this video, poor quality. I have a better camera now and a tripod, maybe I'll make an updated version...

How much wax did you have to use?

Hi! Glad you stopped by! There was already some in the tin from the last time. I would say probably 5+ pounds to fill the tin when melted. You could always make shorter candles too, or find a skinnier tin than I have to get the same size while using less wax. If you buy it in bulk it is cheaper. ;-) Hope that helps!

I am low on wax, I need to order some more. You can get it right online, even Amazon has wax. :)
