Hand drill restoration | No power tools

This old hand drill I bought for few bucks needed some well deserved love.
Everything is done without power tools, so a lot of sand paper ad brush wire involved.
Not that I'm proud of it, but it might be characteristic, I don't know...
It's my first restoration video. Let me know if you want me to do more.

Absolutely lovely restoration while keeping the aura of its age. Some restorations I’ve seen elevate these classic tools to the look of ‘just off the shelf new’. I like this one of yours, it’s both classic and classy. Well done!

You did a very good job of restoring the hand drill👍 my wife sat down with me and watch this video she remarked that my drill could do with a good overhaul 😮😔

I didn't plan to spin it, it was pure improvisation, so I used what I had at hand. But that's a good idea, thanks 😉

Gloves and paint stripper. And never use chisels against your left hand. Best way to have a serious injury. My own experience.

I picked hand tool woodworking because it was cheap. You can find the tools you need with a little effort for 5 bucks at flea markets and Facebook marketplace. One of my friends lost a finger on his table saw and I won't even think about getting one unless it's a SawStop.
