Damn, I'm so glad that finally a great lead guitarist also writes and sings wonderful and gorgeous songs. I recently saw Meg in Dallas and Portland the year before. There was much more lead goodness goin on those nights. Reminded me of some favs, Nels Cline, Allman Bros. shit, and sax type licks with great emotional dynamics. Definitely my greatest guitar centric inspiration of my generation. I didn't know how to express this in my brief face to face with Meg without sounding like, in this commment, a total Tommy Bahama daddy. But fuck, I hope they are recognized by the rest of the guitar nerds
Kevin Morby brought me here to see who his guitarist was. Meg Duffy has a beautiful voice and such a great guitarist. Will continue following her and hope to see her LIVE in the near future
Saw you at Green Man and don't really know what to say, except thank you. Hadn't registered that you were on and luckily walked past the stage as you were starting. Couldn't move from then on, stunned. Absolutely beautiful stuff.
what is the connection between Meg Duffy and Avi Buffalo? Were they ever collaborators or in the same scene? I listened to them soloing and immediately thought of Avi Buffalo, and it's been a few years. Meg is an amazing musician. I just don't hear people with a sound like that very often. And then I discovered they both wrote different tunes called "Jessica", and wondered if 27:19 was a nod to the other song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aIbLtFF5lVI.html
