Last weekend, Jlo & I made a trip out with Captain Rehan & his buddy Mikes in search of as much fish as we could get...to give away.
This all started with me posting a picture on social media with some fish in the supermarket at ridiculous prices. From there, the idea to do this mission came forth. I put out an "SOS" on Facebook to see if any charter captains were willing to help on this mission, and Capt. Rehan not only volunteered his services, but he drove the project forward. He had a free day on the weekend and we were off.
Although we would have liked to catch more fish, given the conditions and the last minute trip, we still ended up with a decent haul of fish. From the catch, we wee able to provide 10 families with fresh fish to eat!
This is something that I would like to encourage everyone to do once they can. For me, the greatest joy is actually catching the fish. So if I can do that and provide some food to those in need, I mean that is a win-win situation if I ever saw one!
I am hoping to do another trip like this soon, once time permits and hopefully we have more fish and more people to give to! Thanks to everyone who supported in this venture!
