Wonderful tools and video. I have loaded TSS since I found it many years ago, but never thought of these tools:-) I develop my own loading data using a pressure trace. It was needed because there was no data back then. Thank you for the video:-)
Thanks a bunch for the video. I've loaded a fair amount of rifle and pistol but not any shotshells. My grandfather always all the shotshells for all of us. He's long pasted and I'm just getting into it. Still trying to get over the price shock. Best price on TTS I've found is 219 for 5 lbs. But I'm so curios on how popular it is becoming I might just have to try it.
Very detailed video. But I am curious, can you please explain how you are fitting 710 grains of shot, cork, felt, mylar and 16 grains of PSB in that WAD. without the shot being outside the wad column. I use that wad and it will only hold 710 grains of shot and 15 gr PSB MAX and that is without a cork, felt and mylar.
Thank you for showing the process. I'm thinking of getting into shotshell loading specifically to load tungsten shot and this was helpful to give me an idea of what I'd be in for. I'm thinking tungsten has great self-defense potential. Of course lead buckshot is potent enough, but in theory larger (letter sized) tungsten birdshot penetrates as deeply as buckshot. That would make it more effective since it would have a denser shot pattern. I haven't seen ammo companies explore the concept of premium tungsten defensive ammo yet, but I could try it myself if I handload. I'd certainly do some penetration testing before actually relying on tungsten birdshot to penetrate like lead buckshot. My idea is that maybe T or F tungsten birdshot will penetrate comparably to #1 buckshot. Or something like that. There would definitely be deeper penetration with smaller shot. I've seen no testing, so I may have to load up some shells and and shoot them into ballistics gel myself in order to find out how larger tungsten pellets perform and if the difference is worth the expense.
Thank you sir for that video, was very helpful. There's not alot of information that I can find for purchasing tss or data. I'm new to shot shell but have been reloading rifle ammo for awhile.
Hi I'm definitely interested in purchasing everything from you so I can do my own TSS If you're willing to do that for me I will pay for shipping and everything Thank you very much
I love all your videos I'm just getting into reloading TSS for geese for my 20 gauge and 12 gauge I love the products that you use if you can make them for me and I will buy them from you everything I need to reload thank you...
Yes I have... #2 hits like LEAD size #4 BUCKSHOT does... 12 ga. 3" lead has 41 pellets in #4 buck load verses 108 pellets of TSS that hit just as hard or more...
