No one noticed, but we learned a very important thing about Dankpods lore: The microphone testing guy isn't our boy Dank. He played with us for many videos until now, he's caught by Dank at the last microphone test.
"...or aluminum if you speak in feet." As an American, this is just about the most respectful and hilarious imperial/metric dis I've ever heard. Congratulations, sir.
The Metric System is not as dominant as its proponents want Americans to believe. Most countries continue to use legacy units, usually unique to just themselves, that pop up everywhere once you’re aware of them. It’s a meme but its a bad meme.
@@cheekibreeki815 I think you’d find some of videos by _Veritassium_ and _SmarterEveryDay_ on the history of unit measures really cool. It’s way cooler than you think. It’s good to remember that it’s just unit conversion and there is always the issue of decimal places of accuracy. The world is a lot messier than “science communicators/entertainers” would have us believe. Most of life does not require _six sigma_ accuracy.
Lol that’s the most British thing I’ve ever heard, as an American, for us Americans the acceleration doesn’t spill our diabetes drinks because McDonald’s puts lids on them
Dank, you talking about your passion is never a "boring" time, it's very heartwarming and eye opening to hear you talk about headphones. Either that or I'm a nerd and I love learning 🧡 Ps. I'm happy that I'm watching this video with the Philips Shp9500 (very catchy name) it's closer to my budget range. I could've gone with the Grado's but they expensive 😔 but hey, I've been addicted to my headphones, it's been such a game changer for music listening.
You should do a series on products that are handmade products from the countries they were designed in, like the grado’s, the meze(not hand made i think but they are made in Romania) and now azuls from Australia. Be really cool to see some other handmade products from countries
Australia also had the first VW factory outside Germany. We made the whole car, with locally produced content (and even had a foundry to make engines and gearboxes). caarrrn Australia. btw nice to see you on Aging Wheels.
Mentioning the Rover 95 almost killed me! I didn't know you were cultured in cars! XD We have a Rover (1972) 3500 P6, a (2003) 75, and a (2005) 75 V8 down here in NZ
Would love to see you review the Blessing 2 Dusks, Dunu SA6's, Thieaudio Monarchs, or some of the other most well reviewed IEM's. The Dusks specifically are around the same price as these, but more well regarded.
5:35 that is pretty funny my girlfriends sister works at turramurra music and I always thought it was some small local music shop till she told no they sell stuff to all the big people and cmpanies in muisic in this country now I see turramurra music pop up in your video it just made me smile
Idk if I agree with Rev Zero's position. In my experience it shoots kitchen appliances, clicking heads is downright therapeutic (or sleep enducing, whichever you prefer)
Hello, I looked up these IEMs and the CEO seems to be having the need to take a short break. I do hope he begins make IEMs again, I was going to buy some but investigation into doing so lead to my resultation of the fact that he had removed himself from the 'scene'. Quite a shame.
Hearing DankPods’ voice anywhere besides behind that green apple rectangle or behind a drum set is a little unusual, how dare you explain audio thing in your editing bay, thanks for reaching me what the wavy lines mean mate I forgot to study
"Azul" is "blue" in portuguese, and certainly similar in other romance languages. The blue dot besides makes me think the name wasn't an accident. Edit: It seems the IEM's themselves are also blue, lol.
@@thesurvivlist5440 "The more you know." PS: I never said he was supposed to know that "azul" is "blue" in Spanish. I just stated that fact. And checking the comment section afterwards, I was late to that party anyways since other people commented it before I did.
When I read the words on the thumbnail I realized that Australia is the Upside Down from Stranger Things. The crazy misters are just the deadly creatures in Australia.
I just looked for these to get some... and they are sold out. But, the upside was that I was also thinking about buying and LP I was waiting for to come back in stock, and by reminding me of it through this... I was able to at least place and order for that. 😁👍
Obviously not Dank but, the ones that popped up in this video were Moondrop Blessing 2 ($320) Shure SE425 Pro ($269), Etymotic ER3SE ($140), and KBear KS2 ($25). Honourable mentions to Moondrop Starfield ($110) and KZ ZSN ProX ($25). If you're a casual listener, you'll be happy with the KZs or KBears. If you're a serious listener, you don't need to go higher than the Starfield or ER3s. If you're a professional or are happy to spend more for a marginal improvement, you can go for the B2s, Shures, or ol' mate Josh's Azuls.
sorry to get all boring with your boring time :P but i think it may be worth noting that the graphs you showed from RTings were Compensated graphs (which means they're compensated to a target curve, representative of "this sound VS neutral", flat line being 100% neutral) and the graph by Crinacle was not compensated. That means that the upper mids being louder don't 100% depict relativity to "true neutrality" and should instead be compared to Crinacle's target curve (IEF Neutral) which is the black line shown behind it. I really love how these look, and I really love when independent manufacturers make stuff like this. The fact these were made by one guy is SO COOL, and that sound is unbelievably neutral looking. Really like it, and as always your videos are super fun to watch! looking forward to more stuff like this!
Azul is the Spanish word for blue and that’s why there was a blue circle next to it and that’s why they were blue because azul is blue and since it says blue they are the blue that they mention in the word “blue” or as written “azul” and I do also hope that Azul is a supervillain in the Marvel / DC Franchises in the future and their outfits would be green. Wait no they would be blue because blue. #Blue
For the cable bending, I've personally never had an isssue with my KZ earbuds that have the same "issue" of the long pins that dont go in too far, so the Azuls should be fine too.
Josh before the video : and... Done! The 10th pair has been made. Time to ship it to dank pods, he's the guy that calls everything nuggets, is he? _checks RU-vid_ yeah he is, hope he liked it Josh after the video : so much order, so much stress
yeah ikr? I love seeing the audio evaluations that dank pods brings to the table. In fact, I got myself a pair of the Meze 99 Classics after watching his video about them!
There are not boring at all, and are in fact quite interesting. I love science and technology, and have since I was a little guy. Show me a graph, and I will analyze it for ages. :) I was gonna make a comment just like yours.
"Azul sounds like the name of a villain that escapes at the end of the movie, guaranteeing a sequel." Azula, who gets shat on during her coronation by her brother and a water lady: *pain noises*
I love you Dank. You’re the first audiophile I’ve ever heard of who doesn’t come off as totally elitist. You’re just having fun with it. You and your creepy ears on a stand are helping me understand what all this sound stuff really means. Give Frank my best wishes.
