I got the chance to visit Syracuse New York earlier this month where my boyfriend grew up. While he did some fishing for Steelhead on the Salmon River, I was able to hit a few thrift stores and stock up on great inventory for my full time vintage reselling business. I was only able to visit 3 stores, but I was able to pick over 40 items for the shop! Love your selections! I shopped at Petite Sophistcates back in the day. "so fiz te kitz" is how they pronounced it 😉. They had great quality!

You found some great quality pieces by solid brands. I am surprised that you did pick up some acrylic, polyester pieces (ie..the flannel). I didn't think they'd sell.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked seeing the pieces I picked up!! I do try to stick to cotton flannels as much as I can, but from experience I know that an acrylic flannel with good colors can do pretty well at the particular place that I am selling them!

I swear that long black dress with velvety top is almost the same as my 1996 Homecoming dress, except mine had an open strand of rhinestones between the two fabrics. So 90s! Great find!

That green Pendleton cardigan looks like the sort of sweater that would have been sold as a coordinating piece with the green Pendleton wool pleated skirt with raspberry plaid. Department stores back in the day often had a dozen or more mix and match pieces offered for the same line.

hi, I noticed you try on all the items you sell on etsy. do you only sell items in your size clothing wise?

Hey! I sell a wide range of sizes in my shop, not just my personal size. I have a few good methods that I use to make items fit me when they are larger than my size. For jeans, I usually can clothes-pin them at the back to make them appear like they fit! I always include a waist size in the listing title of jeans so that the viewer can see it right away, and I always include measurements in the description so that the size and fit are clear for the buyer. Thank you!! I have thought about trying poshmark, but because they focus mostly on modern clothing I felt that Etsy (which has a customer base that is more interested in vintage) would be a better marketplace for my items. But I might still expand to those marketplaces in the future! :)
