Can I make a request and a challenge for you? For us northern boys something I would love to see you tackle is a baby northern pike pattern, they are very well known for cannibalizing their young and musky love them as a snack... and those ribbed molds would make it SO much easier to make the striped pattern on them!

Two places I know for sure where that color works, is Calif. and Florida. Your baits are super sweet and awesome. As I mentioned before, lived in Central Florida for six years and took all my Calif. colors, (Rainbow trout/Aarons Magic) with me. Although not much rainbow trout forage in Florida, Those colors are killer, and work very well. Again, really good looking baits.

Hey man just wanted to tell you you do such a great job on your videos and you inspired me to start making my own baits too recently I bought a roughly $200 dollar kit from do-it molds to start making baits it came with a craw mold and I bout a 5 inch jerkbait mold as well. I will be watching your videos very closely

Good looking bow pattern Chris. Waiting on the 7" Bape from Stankx to arrive and this is 1st color I want to attempt. As always thanks for the knowledge bomb. I love to see if there is any change in action with the stiffer plastic. My thinking is you'll get a little more side to side rool and a slower tail thump than a softer plastic.

Hey Chris very instructive and informative vid as always.... watching this video gave me an idea i thought I'd shoot at ya n hope maybe you will try.... What I'm thinking is combining 2 different colored bloodlines one above the other in clear plastic with maybe some flakes in the handpour mould you used in this vid...if it's possible of course... Fyi...I've never made plastic baits so I don't know if it's possible... If it is maybe you could make a vid of it

All my silicone open pour moulds produce a bait that is cloudy and not transparent and shiny but if you look from the top its perfect and I am not overheating the product what's the problem

As a new guy, how do I measure so I dont waste a half a cup of plastic, can I keep reheating it to get more pours out of it or do I just have to eat it. Also for the clear dip, you you lose all that or is it salvageable? This may be dumb but I've had a hard time finding beginner information around

You can add a little plastisol to the bottle of Colorant that has gotten to think... It will thin it out like it was when you bought it... Works great... I think all it is Plastisol and Pigment anyway...

I have found that any contamination from the spoon is indiscernible in the actual colors..so it's just one way for me to save a lil elbow grease.

Why does the plastic you are using to clear dip the baits in looks very yellow? Jw why it doesn't look as clear as when u cooked the other to temp?

It's old remelt that had been remelted over and over.. eventually the resin yellows after many reheats.

Great video as always. I watch most RU-vid videos on the TV through a Roku stick so I don't have the option to hit like button all the time, I'll try and jump on the pc every once in a while and like,like,like. I'm fixing to buy the twin injector set up from Basstackle.com, the 3oz. set up sounds pretty small to me, I'm thinking I should go with the 6oz. model. I'll be shooting 2-4 molds, at a time. Not giant baits, 6 inch worm and 4 inch grub size mostly. Would you recommend the 6oz. over the 3oz.?

Purchased a duel injector set up on amazon and when I received it from Russia of all places the machining was not good and the plungers would get caught up so I returned it had to pay return postage to New Jersey thank god it wasn’t back to Russia

So what bounds the 3 layers of colors so the wont split?

Basically heat..you pour the layers before the fully set up and they will bond quite well...then the clear dip will help hold.it all together. If you use aluminum molds you can heat the mold with a torch which will bond the layers together for a full bond.

probably so...but it takes way more than 4 minutes to make these and my audience likes to see the process, sort of like a cooking show. Ive never liked abbreviated short videos myself.
