it would go great in a 1900's large car chassis .just the thing to take part in Rallys from one part of the world to other .

Seems like it would be safer (and maybe easier) to take advantage of the dual flywheels with dual straps and dual guys rather than using the prybar and playing pull-the-bar-before-it-gets-thrown-at-me (not my idea of a fun game.) Obviously the bar was the original method of starting this, and I have to say I love that people are keeping industrial history alive by keeping these antiques operable.

I would love to put this engine in a car, open hood naturally so I can see the engine all the time. Then i would simply enjoy driving it. Pure mechanical art.

Pretty sure that engine weighs more than your car.

What would this go in? A tractor like the Holt or is it just a stationary engine?
@Mercmad

it powered a combine harvester but you are right, because Holt bought the company and used the engine designs for his tractors

Mr. Drucker, the Hooterville General Store Manager, explained when Oliver came to ask for parts for the tractor, that he hadn't heard the name Hoyt-Clagwell in a long time, because the company had dissolved after Mr. Hoyt left the tractor business to go make plastic fruit....so it might suit the hoyt Clagwell ,the name even looks the same if you squint. The farm hand reckoned you have to talk to the hoyt Clagwell to gwet it to run right, and haney reckoned it was possessed..

Замечательный, антикварный звук выхлопа! Двигатель имеет верхнее расположение клапанов !!!!!, что делает его конструкцию совершенной
