If you make one stick longer you don’t have to bend over so far to thresh the grain. The orginal Japanese threshing tool was made this way. They then shortened one side to make it a more effective weapon. If you watch the movie Seven Samurai you will see the peasants threshing their barley this way.
Hey, thanks for the educational video. I'd like to know, how big of a plot do I need in order to provide bread on a daily basic? In addition, is it practical making bread everyday from zero (from wheat and the whole process), without using any machines or complicated tool (similar to what you demonstrated in your video)? Will I be able to do it efficiently without sacrificing a lot of time?
