Welcome to our 3rd episode on the cottage series, where we overhaul a cottage in need of some serious TLC! This cottage is situated on beautiful Balsam Lake, and was almost Gothic when we arrived. Black hardwood with surface nails, dark brown cabinets with iron handles, and a very dark brick fireplace that made the space feel like a time warp from the early 1800's :))
Huge thanks to our team on this project, we spend the better part of 4 months renovating this place, huge updates on all the windows and doors, plus insulation upgrade throughout the entire cottage, and a spray foamed vaulted ceiling to stop those cold winter drafts from coming in.
