I'm a former police officer. I develop armed security officer training curriculum and I train armed security officers. Thank you for a great video. Now I don't have to reinvent anything. I can show security officers this video. It's 100% on point. It's consistent with most of the training I have ever received but it's been difficult finding a video that shows it this way. There are some really bad videos in RU-vid world!!!

Only thing i noticed different in my training was when preparing to cuff the second hand…we were told not to do a handshake because a perp can just grab a hold of my hand and have control over my hand…we’re told to grab from center knuckle down all the fingers . Prevents them from grabbing your hand…if resistance is attempted you have the fingers for pain compliance etc. great video though thank you

One thing i was always taught when cuffing someone is exactly like you said "if they flee let them" so long as they are off my property i could care less i would have already reported them to law enforcement

So you get handcuff training once. Then 6 months go by & you never have to handcuff someone. So you forget what you learned. Then when the time comes. Will you remember your training? Other than retail theft, I've never needed handcuffs!

NO! You grab his hand like that he now has a hold of you, small security officer is screwed by a larger person, put them in a praying hand position grab there fingers because you now have control not the other way around.
