Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
[Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!]
For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
[Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!]
The kingdom of this world
Is become the kingdom of our Lord,
And of His Christ, and of His Christ;
And He shall reign for ever and ever,
For ever and ever, forever and ever,
King of kings, and Lord of lords,
[King of kings, and Lord of lords,]
And Lord of lords,
And He shall reign,
And He shall reign forever and ever,
King of kings, forever and ever,
And Lord of lords,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
And He shall reign forever and ever,
[King of kings! and Lord of lords!]
And He shall reign forever and ever,
King of kings! and Lord of lords!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!

It never tires if you pray and praise as your sing it. It is said that Handel felt that he saw all of Heaven and its Angels as he composed this. I know that I feel that way as I sing it. Amen!

I've always loved Handels The Messiah. My church choir sang it 1 year, and it sounded so wonderful! I could listen to this over, and over

And 4 people think that's a bad thing to say. I'm a baritone, and love belting this one out. If any hymn or paean of praise can make a singer kick ass, it's Haendel's Hallelujah!

I sang this for two Christmas's back in college and it's one of the most moving songs I've ever sung, it was sometimes hard to contain my enthusiasm and control my tone. Watch the fellow (bass?) in the top row, middle, he's really into it and this is a wonderful version. Merry Christmas, everyone !!.

Goosebumps ... and just about the best church acoustics I've heard for this song (except for the Mormon Tabernacle choir, of course). Fantastic!

There is an audible "hum" in the background, very evident at the beginning, in softer passages, and after the end, otherwise, it was fucking gorgeous.

Zeldovich and laceyloola, I agree with you both. See watch?v=md-ws6knYkE one of the best Hallelujahs on RU-vid, by a Chinese choir in Hong-Kong on 24 Dec 2006. Big family audience, obviously far from entirely christian, stand up and warmly applauses. In same great ligue IMO with this one, that I love (I know well St-JB de Grenelle, I lived for a couple years 300m from there) Thu 4 Sep 2008 17:06 GMT

I love this piece. So beautiful. I would say it's hard to learn but it's kind of not...then again I am in the bass section so I have no really high notes. Still fun though. :D.

This is a nice interpretation of a very famous Handel work - they performed it better than the Auckland Philharmonic and Auckland choir did that's for sure! They just needed to slow it down a bit, it felt a bit hurried in places. =)
