Holy frick I overall didn't feel too moved by this arrangement and generally prefer the Passacaglia one, but damn that end from 7:08 was so apotheotic I even felt like it totally deserved a picardy cadence at the end instead of in one of the middle variations.
It’s the same Handel’s sarabande is la folia Because la folia is a sarabande (it’s name in French is “folies d’Espagne”, and sarabandes came to Europe through Spain, so it’s only natural that this theme be a sarabande. Hence justifying calling what is actually la folia “sarabande”)
