I am an organist in India.I have sung Messiah since 1965 for many times. The key boards are amazing. The soprano - - she sang like an angel. The be honest, your choir is angelic. God bless you all.
Listening to this December 23 in Los Angeles, 2023. I grew up attending the Messiah sung by the Arizona Chorale in Tempe, Arizona. My mother with her stunning soprano voice sang in the chorale all my life. I had the incredible privilege to visit the beautiful church in Dublin where Handel first had this performed, and where the congregation was so moved at the conclusion of the Hallelujah chorus that they spontaneously rose to their feet in thunderous applause, establishing a tradition now two centuries old. Thank you for sharing the grace of this incredible performance with the world.
This concert was absolutely beautiful, it brings back so many memories when I sang on the church choir as a teenager. Amazing talent is in the Gramophone Chorus, I pray they continue to inspire others with their amazing gift.
Psalm 150 1Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. God bless from Oregon, USA!
"Comfort ye" has always been my favourite aria from the first time I heard the Messiah. Listening to this young man brought tears to my eyes and transported me to heaven. The keyboards in place of a full orchestra is an amazing achievement. I will come back to this often. Thank you Gramophone, thank you 🇬🇭!! From a grateful Zambian 🇿🇲
What a wonderful rendition of a marvelous and holy work! I applaud the amazing art of this wonderful group and their heart-felt faith in performing it.
Having sung Messiah with a big London choir, such a privilege, I know the music well. The chorus "His yoke is easy, his burthen is light" is technically the most difficult (in my view) and often not included as a result. Their rendition is splendid, sharp and joyful. These performers love doing Messiah, I am sure they worked incredibly hard to achieve such a good performance. Pure joy on my side.
Thank you my brothers and sister from Ghana. This Handel was truly inspired by the Spirit of God. This is the Gospel of truth told in Music. The entire life of Jesus in beautiful voices of beautiful people of Ghana. God bless you all.
Unbelievable performance of Handel's Messiah. Wonderful! This shows hard work pays. There is no doubt these brethrens spent sleepless nights and sacrificed their personal lives greatly in order to produce this!
right , right and 1000 times( X ) you are right Chris Kanyane . that's my opinion also :" a lot of work " and so incarned . I 'm cellist and traverso 's player in France : i know every day the difficulties to play correct (just , good ton etc ) . As white man : that's not naturel (obviously) and easy to product in Africa or here in Europe this oratorio . They have made a very good work : God bless Them and you too Chris
WOW... 🎼🎵🎶🎵🎹🥁 Awesome performance of the Messiah. Bravo 👏🏽 Soli Deo Gloria! I love the orchestra 5 keyboard concept. Peace on earth ! Peace, Peace, Peace. Be and stay blessed my brothers and Sisters.
To discover this on Christmas Eve day was a great joy. We can never have enough versions of this masterpiece so thankyou Ghana for your superb contribution. Bill Taylor. Scotland.
Yes!!!!!! the symphony part is absolutely spot on!!! Can't believe the crisp sound from keyboard ….baroque style!!! I've sang Handel's Messiah 7 times ( alto) and I have to say the talent is jaw dropping. “He shall purify” … best I’ve ever heard in my life
When seeing and hearing this performance, I'm proud to be a human being. When a group such as this appears on our planet, I know that remarkable forces have been at work. This performance featured an outstanding choir, soloists, keyboardists, and conductor. Everyone was full of energy and joy! This is now my favorite performance of the Messiah. I am the choir director at the First United Methodist Church in Grants, New Mexico, USA
Today, I listened again to selections from the Messiah, performed by Gramophone. So much energy--an energy that is infectious. I was deeply moved again! More so than by any other performance I've heard.
Thank you very much for giving the world this comforting beautiful concert in these Covid-19 times! Only He can comfort mankind and proved so by giving his precious Son Jesus. Brothers & sisters, God bless you all! 🌷 Love from Holland
Wonderful! Beyond the very high level of the rendition I am moved by the intensity of everybody's committment in singing , playing and conducting this Haendel's masterpiece.Every single singer and every single player seems to believe with all is mind, with all his heart and with all his strenght the words from the Holy Scripture they are singing and playing: Awesome and really encouraging to me. We are the old, skeptic and tired Europe, but I feel that Africa will refresh and save us.
Thrilling rendition of For Unto Us a Child....Gave me goosebumps. What a fantastic performance of Messiah - the synths are so ethereal in sound, very other worldly, and the performers look like they are so enjoying themselves.
What a day it will be when all flesh will sing together around the throne of God . I want to be there and hope that the young men and women in this group will all be there . Jesus died on Calvary’s cross to make it possible. Keep singing the beautiful songs of Zion and God bless you all.
I ALWAYS listen to Handel's Messiah Part 1 EVERY Christmas Season! I just discovered this amazing choir from my homeland Ghana this 2023 Season! Thank you, Guys! You make me proud to be a Ghanaian! BTW One of the best, best renditions of "Rejoice...." I ever heard! Not to mention the "He shall lead His flock" The Counter-tenor is totally world-class! Good job all of you! Bravo! Bravo!
The first essential is the knowledge and discernment that messiah is not a performance, but a dedication, as such it is glorified by believers who’s joy is observed in this recording.
Thank you for making my day. I woke up with For unto us a child is born in my heart sung as chorister in church many years ago. Unique performance 👏 👌. God bless you all for blessing us 🙏
This is truly heartwarming. Amazing soloists. Amazing instrumentation. Excellent choir and a Dynamic conductor. God bless Gramophone Choir, one of Ghana’s finest. Keep praising the Lord.
My problem with Handel has always been that he (like me) was an atheist. These people are commited and devoted Christians, And I love them for it. It is superb.
Definitely,I agree with everything said,a fantastic performance by this Choir, technically spot on, nice feeling, vibrant, diction is clear, conductor and instrumentalists lead and manage to complete Choir performance, together with Soloists. Excellent, uplifting and inspiring.
What a beautiful experience for our family on Easter Sunday here in Sydney, Australia. We are a musical family and are completely transfixed and drawn into your amazing performance. Many thanks and I hope you are all keeping well through these troubled times. Many warm regards, David and family
I am seeing this video for the first time. This choir is dynamic. Beautiful voices and wonderful musicians. I loved all of it. The Handel's Messiah has been my favorite Christmas music from since I was a child. Every year at Christmas time I try to attend at least one of the Handel's Messiah performances. Bravo well done!!
they can be proud , yes :( ex) christian and white people have forgetten the Messiah and their faith in God as their culture . they are believing in bad things
Well done Choir...outstanding presentation and performance. Really blessed...Indeed, "He shall purify" us in this pandemic period. You have provided a ray of light in this dark time. God bless you all
Messiah is very dear to me. I sang it twice, and was blessed each time. This production is so moving. The short message during the performance was an added blessing. I would have loved to have been there with you! This is a blessing to the whole world.
What a blessing this music is! Thank you to all the people who brought this wonderful music to us, from the live performance to the recording that allowed all of us around the world to watch and listen in awe.
thank's ! Karen , i'm a french (musician )guy and my english is too bad . I have wanted say that blacks (africans ) people must be pushed for the high and the best . In 2 , solists and choeur are very good and they have touched me : it's a challenge for every body . thank to understand . cdlt
@@eliaskorcia9489 You are correct, and your English is fine. Although, I believe that Africans need not be held to a higher standard. We should all live on an equal plane.
If this was performed every Christmas season in Ghana's Christian Cathedral, l would every year, board a plane from America to hear it. Powerful! Wonderful! Bravo!
An extraordinarily impressive presentation, the soloists deliver with such poignancy-the 4 electric pianos seem a perfect accompaniment & the person introducing the production spoke with such fortitude!!
Thank you I really enjoyed the whole performance. Using keyboards was amazing. I have retired from choral singing but love listening and joining in when I can! Thank you
