We need to know how to handle complaints in a restaurant, so this week's video talks about the SMART Complaint Technique that works on converting the angry customers into regular customers of your restaurant. In order for it to work first you need to listen to your customer complain and then use the SMART complaint technique to convert it into a regular customer of your restaurant.

P.s its a useful skill to be able to read a customers body language and facial expressions. The high majority of bothered and angry customers are silent and wont speak up. When this happens ill approch them no matter where they are waiting at inside or outfront and ask them their name and how long they have been waiting and ill let them know how im going to solve the issue. This method has always worked for me. It makes them feel noticed and assured that the issue will be handled. My store has a big issue with food wait times( due to everything being made to order and being a lunch hotspot the times get backed up. so this is a key technique that i teach every employee even cooks.

HEAT technique, H- hear the complaint, E- empathise, A, apologise, and lastly, Take action

Customer complains about salty soup. Waiter applies the S and T of the STAR system. Waiter goes into the kitchen and brings out another soup that's even more salty xD

1.The wealthy customers are visiting your restaurant, give the menu and then take some orders, accidentally the soup you are holding was spilled on the shoulder of the guest, then how will you handle the situation? 2. You are working on a five star hotel as a manager, it was happening that you see your KUMPARE accompanied with another woman and proceed to room 169, what action will it take? 3.How will you handle this if you encounter an irate/angry customers because your food is having a bad taste. 4. Assuming that you are the owner of a 5 star hotel, someone is complaining and returning the food due to the objects(cockroach) found in food. sir help me to answer this questions.
