On this episode Michael showcases building two handmade watch straps for a repeat customer. Apologizes for saying his name S.D. when it is actually S.C… As stated in this video, Michael is severely DYSLEXIC! One is a Whiskey Tan Shinki Hikaku Shell Cordovan Leather strap for a Rolex Datejust, and the other is a Royal ‘Midnight’ Blue Genuine Alligator strap with Navy Blue Horween Shell Cordovan Leather linings for a Patek Philippe 3205G-013. Michael included a beautiful aftermarket vintage Rolex Pin Buckle for the Whiskey Tan strap too. Sorry for saying your name wrong Doc!

13:15 Sometimes, when I think about watch straps, I think about the word “Shinki Hikaku” said in your John Wayne voice. Always makes me chuckle because I never heard of that fun word before you and you have such a cool voice and delivery. Perfect combination. Michael, I always enjoy your videos and was glad to see a new one! You’re someone who deserves all the followers out there, but I know from watching others, there’s always prices to pay (stress, hassles, etc.) the more followers you have. The Alligator strap is superior quality, it actually feels on par with my original strap from Patek (a little bit thinner and more pliable). The craftsmanship is flawless. Elegant dressed-up appearance. Great to see how it was all put together. Thank you. The shell cordovan strap looks to be extremely durable and should break in well over time. The particular shade is brown is beautiful and more versatile than I expected. Michael, it is not horse hide. Cordovan is considered a membrane that is under the exterior back portion of the hide, which gives the horse the ability to twitch and shew off the bees/flies that are bothering him in the butt area. I don’t want to be a jerk, but just wanted to explain the exact purpose of the material/membrane.
