I made my wife a handmade mothers ring in 14K yellow gold. It's a 3 stone ring with citrine for November, peridot for August, and diamond for April.

Video Description: I've made my wife some mothers jewelry in the past but I have never made a single piece of jewelry that incorporated the birthstones of all three of our children. Each month has a assigned birthstone which represents that month. In our case we have a citrine, peridot, and diamond. At Modern Goldsmith I am a huge fan of lab-grown diamonds and an advocate all the same. With that said I used a lab-grown diamond for the April accent stone. To make this project extra sentimental I engraved the names of our children on inside of the mothers ring.

Me too. Thought this one was going to get sappy. But it never crossed the line. Just pure emotion. Which is super hard to do. He’s an excellent movie director and cinematographer as well as ring maker.

Another jewellery maker I've watched shows that he has a cloth underneath the table, around knee level, to catch all the dust. Sort of like a hammock. Afterwards the dust and bits are gathered up and refined to be used again.

Now you need to make her a Mother's bracelet. My husband had one designed for me several yers ago. It is one of my most precious pieces. I lost my oldest Son and now it has a much deeper meaning. I had my Mom one made in Sterling. She loved it.
