Truly an art form - taking ordinary brooches and adding crystals to enable a pop of color on your outfits when you are bored of generic store-bought options! Brooches are great for adding to hats and other head gear accessories (such as as fascinators)

Absolutely beautiful!! I think that, as crafters we need to band together and find a word to use for our "sparklies" other than "bling". I feel so foolish using that word, as an "older woman". I am an artist and crafter, not a hip-hoppy "gansta".....sigh....I'm probably the only one, because it's the only word you hear ANYWHERE any more! I buy beads & findings of all types & sizes from many eBay sellers. Since the majority of crafting items are made in China, I buy the majority of my items from sellers in China. No middle "person" & FREE shipping convinced me to give it a try. I've never been disappointed & the only downside is shipping time. If I need something for a quick project, I buy locally. Anything I buy from China is stocking up & the time frame has been 2-4 weeks. I recently bought lots of glass crystals & I do auctions. Got all colors & szs.& didn't pay more than 50 cents for 100-300 count. Got great buys on hotfix crystals as I use so many. Thx for the video :)

Cindy, I got the flu shot and the pneumonia shot, and guess what? I have the blocked up sinuses now. And I never get the flu from the shot! Its the crazy weather, its changing too soon. Hope your feeling better soon. I love the brooches too, they are fantastic. Hugs.

Thanks for the info about the link for crystals on your blog. :) Since there's so many different color choices, what do you think are the staple colors one should start with? Or the colors you mostly use? I'd love a rainbow but again it does cost $ in the beginning.

Thanks for the video and sharing your creative talents. I was wondering wouldn't it all bend or break since filigree or the bases you are using are very soft and bendable? Also putting a brooch on needs a little more handling than say a pendant. So how do you make them sturdy? Thanks in advance.
