Hi Sweetpanda210. I'm sorry you're having problems. I've never used wilton colours to paint with, and only have one of their gel colours. I mostly use Sugarflair, and I also have a lovely palette of Americolor gels which was put together for me by The Cookie Architect. She basically took an empty paint palette (with a lid) and a blob of each of her Americolor gels in each section and let them dry thoroughly. I use it like a watercolour palette and just dilute with a little water as needed. I also only paint on royal icing which has been dried in a dehydrator (in front of a fan works too) so that the top goes shiny smooth and less absorbant.
