I'm from Sweden. I rented this movie sometime around 1987. I watched it 3 times in a row straight after each other and it's the only movie I've done that with. I thought it was one of the coolest movies I've ever seen. Looking at it today I still love it, even with it's extremely low budget props and effects. There's something real in the acting that makes it believable to me. The arc of the protagonist is very interesting and very believable. Even though he's super tough, his issues are extremely hard to deal with and you do care for him. The female love interest is both strong and weak in a believable way that makes you care and root for her. Hands of Steel is one of the most underrated, unpolished gems to ever exist and I don't think any of the people that made the movie have any idea what impact it did or how much fans love it. And the music is great.
Same story, but i watch that movie every day since my parents bought to me VHS!!From todays point of wiev maybe a low budget but very good mix of 80' and as you say underrated
Haha samma här, var 11 år när jag och brorsan hyrde denna '87, vi såg den om och om igen. Rovdjuret såg jag också sett flera gånger på rad, spola tillbaka bandet och tryckte på play igen 😂
Well said. It has a authentic gritty quality that really captivated me as a kid back when I saw it in the 80s and it still holds up today. A huge part of the that comes to the amazing score which really elevates everything. For a cheap terminator clone movie it had a lot of heart. A real cult classic.
Sgp shoulda jumped on a 80s scarface type of ost and made a tape like steelo ice and I Love Lean. This sound would also improve his mental, 80s are upbeat and cheerful. Sgp let go of that side of him upon "the stuff".
